Thus, an air gap 37 remains between the item 36 and the bottom area 17 . In the case of a warmed or heated item 36 , the air gap 37 can serve the thermal insulation of the item 36 relative to the container 2 . This has the advantage that the item 36 cools at a slow pace and that the walls 17 , 22 , 24 of the container 2 are not heated and can thus be gripped by a user more easily.
