IMPROVEMENTIN SLEEVE-ADJ USTERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 170,64 1 dated November 30, 1875; application filed October 16, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALFRED Pnnneo, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvem entin Sleeve- Adjuster, of which the following is a specificanon:
Figure 1 is a view illustrating the use of my improved sleeve-adjuster. view of a part of a shirt to which my improvement has been applied.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
The object of this invention is to furnish an improved attachment for shirts to enable the cuffs or lower parts of the sleeves to be raised upon the arms and held above the wrists, so that when the wearer is at work, or when washing the hands, the cuffs may be removed from contact with dust or water, and may thus be kept neat'and clean, and which shall be so constructed that it may be fastened and unfastened without removing the coat.
The invention consists in the combination of a strap or tab provided with a button-hole or hook, and a button, button-hole, or eyelethole with the upper part of the sleeve andthe yoke or shoulder of a shirt, as hereinafter fully described.

enable it to be buttoned upon a button, 0, attached to the yoke or shoulder of the shirt A near the seam that joins the said yoke or shoulder with the sleeve.
If desired, a hook and an eye, eyelet-hole, or button-hole may be used as a fastening inpose and apply the adjuster; but under my present invention this is rendered unnecessary; hence What I claim is The tab B, arranged at the top or shoulder of sleeve and fastening on the yoke of shirt, as and for the purpose specified.
