- IMPROVEMENT IN GLOVES.
Specification fonnirg part of Letters Patent No. I 33,319, dated November 26, 1872; antedaied Novcmler cating like parts.
A A, Fig. 1', represent that portion of my skeleton glove which applies to the back of the hand, fingers, and thumb. This portion may be out very light and airy by forming openings, as shown at D and above A A, but must be made of full width at theends of the fingers, as shown. I usually cut this portion of the glove from and in one piece of leather, but it maybe made of several pieces if thought best. B B, Fig. 2, represent the pads which cover the balls of the fingers and thumb, and being all the covering afforded to the inside of the hand These pads B are sewed or laced to the ends of the finger-back pieces A, and thereby form the ends of the fingers, as shown, being cots into which the ends of the fingers and thumb are thrust for protection from wear and injury. Grepresents the wrist-band, which is the main means used for securing the glove upon the hand. This may be made of any elastic material, or secured by means of buckle or other device.
