It will also be observed that the carrier frame is provided with catches or fastening devices F for engaging the bed frame and thereby preventing said frame from rotating relative to the carrier frame. These catches or fastening devices are then disengaged from the bed frame, allowing the latter to be rotated to a horizontal position;

hen this has been done, and after the braces 12 have been adjusted in position, as shown in Fig. 3, the bed frame can then be unfolded, the legs I) and I) automatically ui'ifolding at the same time.

When the bed frame is folded, the legs 79 and Z2 automatically fold therewith, as

shown in Figs. 2, at and 5, and after the membore 6 have been disengaged from the carrier frame the bed frame can then be fastened in place by means of the devices F or in any suitable manner; then the carrier frame is swung outward at the bottom, whereby the two frames are caused to assume a horizontal position. When this has been done the carrier frame and bed frame can then be shoved bodily into the table in the manner shown and described. Thus, and although the carrier frame swings outward in order to bring the bed frame into a position within the table, it is also true that the said carrier frame and bed frame are not required to swing upward and over in order to reach a position of concealment within the table. Consequently, as stated, the swivel section b is right side up when the bed is folded within the table, and the other sections of the bed frame rest thereon.

The construction shown and described, therefore, involves a novel method of combining a table with a bed in oneand the same unitary structure, and is intended to solve some of the problems involved in the production of a satisfactory combination article of furniture of this particular character. For example, with this construction the table can be of the proper height, and of ordinary proportions, like an ordinary library table, being of any suitable length and of such width that it can be pushed through an ordinary doorway, and having suitable clearance underneath. In other words, the table has practically all of the essential requirement necessary for a satisfactory library table. Also, the bed when unfolded is of the proper or ordinary height of the ordinary length, and may be of any suitable or desired width. I do not, however, limit myself to the exact consaid table, a movable carrier frame upon' which said bed frame is rotatively mounted to turn about a horizontal axis relative thereto, and a sliding connection between said carrier frame and body, said connection including a pair of horizontal guides, one at each end of the table, and means engaging said guides, sliding thereon.

A table bed comprising a table body, afolding bed frame in the upper portion of said table, a movable carrier frame upon which said bed frame is rotatively mounted to turn about a horizontal axis relative thereto, and a sliding connection between said carrier frame and body, said connection including a sliding member at each end of the table, disposed in a horizontal plane, and means slidable on said member, fixed in the end of said carrier frame.

4. A table bed comprising a table body, a folding bed frame in the upper portion of said table, a movable carrier frame upon which said bed frame is rotatively mounted to turn about a horizontal axis relative thereto, and a sliding connection between said carrier frame and body, means for sup porting the carrier frame in horizontal position, fixed on the body forming a track on which said carrier frame slides horizontally when the bed is in folded condition, and

means on said connection for permitting said carrier frame to swing about a horizontal axis, so that the carrier-frame may assume an upright position adjacent the front legs of the table.

A table bed comprising a table body, a folding bed frame in the upper portion of said table, a movable carrier frame upon which said bed frame is rotatively mounted to turn about a horizontal axis relative thereto, and a sliding connection between said carrier frame and body, said connection having means associated therewith for permitting said carrier frame to swing about a horizontal axis so, that the carrier-frame may assume an upright position adjacent the front legs of the table.

A table bed comprising a a folding bed frame in the upper portion of said table, a movable carrier frame upon which said bed frame is rotatively mounted to "turn about a horizontal axis relative thereto, and a sliding connection between said carrier frame and body, guides fixed on said body, and means fixed on said carrier frame to rest and slide on said guides.

A table bed comprising a table body, a folding bed frame in the upper portion of said table, a carrier frame upon which said bed frame is rotatively mounted, and a sliding connection between said carrier frame and body, braces for said bed frame, detachably engaging said carrier frame, and folding legs for the bed frame.

A table bed comprising a table body, a folding bed frame in the upper portion of said table, a carrier frame upon which said bed frame is rotatively mounted, and a slidmg connection between said carrier frame and body, and means for locking the bed frame against rotation relative to the carrier frame, when the bed is folded.

10. A table bed comprising a table body, a folding frame in the upper portion of said table, a carrier frame on which said bed frame is rotatively mounted, and a sliding connection between said carrier frame and body, said carrier frame being arranged to move outward bodily and then swing clownward and toward the table before the bed is unfolded.

11. A table bed comprising a table body, a transversely folding frame in the upper portion of said table, a carrier frame on which said bed frame is rotatively mounted, and a sliding connection between one end of. said carrier frame and said body, said bed frame being provided with legs having links for the automatic control thereof.
