Be it known that I, CHARLES E. Roenes, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Covington, in the county of Alleghany and State of Virginia, have invented new and useful Improvements in Leggings, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

This invention relates to leggings for military and other purposes, and has reference more particularly to a legging which comprises a body having an underlying and an overlying part, the parts having co-acting, locking members, both concealed the overlying part.

The object of the invention is to provide a simple andiefiective legging which can be used by soldiers, equestrians, hunters and others, which is capable of all the usesto which leggings are ordinarily put, which is extremely strong and durable, which is light in weight, which can be inexpensively manufactured, Vand which. can be easily manipulated, besides being comfortable when worn, and attractive in appearance.

The invention consists in the construction and combination of parts to be more fully described hereinafter and particularly set forth in the claim.

Reference is to be had to the accompanyparts in different positions; Fig. 4 is an enlarged, transverse section on the line` 4-4 of Fig. 3; and Fig. 5 is a similar view on the line 5-5 of Fig. 4.
