I, NANCY DUNCAN, of Bee-ver Falls, Beerer County, Pennsylvania, have invented certain Improvements in Stoves, of which the following is a specification:
Nuture and Object of The Invention.
The purpose of 1n y invention is to combine inv one article an open-iire heating-stove and a cook-stove in such a manner that its charaeteristic functions may be employed separately or together. My invention consists in combining with the grate of an open-front heating-stove a supplemental grat-e and re-eham ber immediately in the rear ofthe heatingselves to those familiar with the manufacture oi' the class ot' stoves to which my invention is germain.
Description.
Figure l is a perspective vien-'Cf a compound stove embodying' my invention, as seen from the front or open-lire side. Fig. 2 isa perspective view of the saine as seen from the rear or coole-stove side. Fig. 3 is a vertical section' through both parts of my stove.

Constructed thus, my improved stove may be used either as an open-tire heating-stove, or as a notk-stove, or as both at once', and re may be maintained singly in either tire-Chmn 7 ber or both. p
When it is intended to use both functions of the stove the division grating c is removed and may be suspended out of the Way against the bach Wall'on suitable hooks, as shown in Fig. l; or it may be entirelyv removed from the stove for the time being. Then it is intended to use` either iire chamber separately 'the division grate e is placed in the position shown in Fig. 3, and may be held in its vertical position by suitable lugs on the sides of the stoves, as shown at w.
