To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, Gizonen W. WIESEHAN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Indianapolis, county of Marion, and State of Indiana, have invented a certain new and useful Cooking-Cabinet; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which like letters refer to like parts.

The object of this invention is to provide a satisfactory and convenient cooking cabinet. The cabinet is a small one for use in therkitchen and serves the purpose of bold ing dishes, kitchen ware or food stuff, and also a stove or heater and to provide ample shelf room in connection therewith.

The nature of the invention will be understood from the accompanying drawings and the following description and claim.

In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of the cabinet while closed. Fig. 2 is a front elevation thereof opened up for use. Fig. 3 is an elevation of the left-hand end of Fig. 2.

In detail there is herein shown a cabinet consisting of end walls 10, and a top table 11 behind a folding table 12. The table 11 is shown in Fig. 1 and indicated by dotted lines in Fig. 3, and is rigidly secured to the ends of the cabinet and the back 13 thereof. Beneath the table 11 there are drawers 14 and doors 15 to receive kitchen utensils or dishes or food stuff. The folding table 12 is hinged at 16 to the forward end of the table 11 so that when the folding table is opened out, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, they will be flush with each other and horizontal. Bars 17 slide outward from the cabinet for supporting the table 12 when folded down. When the table 12 is folded up, the bars 17 are pushed in. The forward upward corner of the ends 10 are beveled so that when the folding table 12 is folded up, it will be in clined as shown in Fig. 1, and the upper edge thereof will be flush with the upper surfaces of the hinged tops 20. The tops 20 are hinged at 21 to the upper edges of the ends 10 andeach extends, when closed down, half way across the cabinet, as shown, and is supported when closed by the upper edge of the back 13 of the cabinet. They have extending up from the rear edges back boards 22 which constitute an upward extension of the back 13 when closed, but when open, the back boards 22 serve as braces for the tops 20, the ends of the boards 22 hearing against the endsof the cabinet and supporting the tops 20 in a horizontal position so that they will constitute shelves, one at each side of the cabinet and flush with the upper end thereof. In the up er part of the cabinet there is a slidin shelf 25 resting upon cleats 26 and four or ve inches above the table 11 and upon this shelf or upon one end of it, a gas stove or hot plate 26 restswith a gas tube 27 leading thereto through a hole 28 in the back 13 of the cabinet from a suitable gas supply. Therefore, the gas stove is located within the cabinet and the chamber at the top of the cabinet and upon one end of the shelf 25 so that the other end of the shelf 25 can be used for placing dishes and food stuff, and likewise the table 11 beneath the shelf 25 may be used for this purpose and food stuff may be kept warm somewhat upon said table and shelf. The foldlng table 12 will be serviceable for all table purposes as it extends in front of the gas stove. This gives very ample shelf and table room for the convenient use of the gas stove and yet the gas stove does not interfere with the device bein folded up and when folded, as shown in F 1g. 1, the stove is hid and there is no evidence of any cookin outfit in the kitchen. Therefore, it simplifies the kitchen equipment as well as beautifies the same by the elimination of the extra cooking apparatus or stove. The table 11 may be fixed or slidable, as desired.

I claim as my invention:
