To all whom t may concern:

Be it lrnovvn that l, RICHARD T. CLARKE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Columbus, in the county of Franklin and State of Gino, have invented certain new and useful lmprovements in Garment-Supporters; and l do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description oi the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to malte and use the same.

This invention relates to improvements in garment supporters and more particularly suspenders oi." the so-called invisible type,-the object being to pro-vide simple threepoint Suspenders of the type specified and to so construct and adapt the same that they may have six points of connection with the trousers, such points of attachment being located at the positions on the Waist band Where the suspender buttons are commonly located.

l/Vith this. object in View, the invention consists in certain novel features oi" construction and combinations of parts as hereinafter set forth and pointed out in the claim.

ln the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a View showing the application of my improvements, and Fig. 2 is an enlarged fragmentary view.

1, 1 represent the shoulder straps of the Suspenders united at their rear ends to a back strap 2. lbach shoulder strap may consist of a single thickness of webbing formed at the free end with a loop 3 carrying a Wire loop attaching device a, and the loops 3 are connected with the body portions of the straps 1 by means of suitable buckles 5 :for effecting vertical adjustment of the attaching devices 4. The back strap 2 may comprise two thicnnesses of webbing, forming' an elongated loop closed at both ends and supporting an attaching device G which is the same in construction as the attaching devices 4i.

Each attaching device may conveniently consist of a Wire loop bent to form partly circular portions 7--8 connected by a neck 9. l` his torni of attaching device is particularly adaptable for use with Suspenders of the invisible type, because it can be read- Speccation of Letters Eatent.

The buttons 13 are engaged (through the goods of the shirt) by the Wire loops or attaching devices 4--6 on the sus ender straps and thus threepoint invisible Suspenders are adapted for sixpoint attachment to the trousers.

The tapes 10-12 may be provided near their respective ends with button holes 14 to engage the ordinary trousers buttons 1.5, thus )roviding convenient means for properly' locating the tapes and securing them to the trousers. It will be understood that the tapes may be permanently (though removably) attached to the trousers as herein shown and described7 but the ends o the tapes may also be stitched or otherwise ixedly secured to the trousers, if desired.
