1313700 (1) 玖、發明說明 【發明所屬之技術領域】 本發明係關於以經多重塗覆的小片狀底質爲基礎的五 層顏料。 【先前技術】 光澤或效果顏料用於工業的許多範圍中’特別是用於 汽車修整、裝飾性塗料、塑料、漆、印刷墨水和化粧品調 合物。 因爲其顏色表現,光澤顏料具有角度依存色彩變化介 於多種干擾色之間,是汽車修整和有價物質防僞方面特別 感興趣者。 以前技術提出製造珠光顏料的方法,其藉可施用於細 粒底質上之交替的高和低折射指數層之助。提出以經多重 覆的小片狀底質爲基礎的此類型顏料,如:在 U.S.4,434,0 1 0、JP H7- 75 9、U.S.3,43 8,7 96、 U.S.5,135,812、DE 44 05 494、DE 44 37 753、DE 195 16 181 和 DE 1 95 15 988、DE 1 96 18 565、DE 1 9 7 46 067 和 文獻(如:EURO COSMETICS,1 999,Νο·8,ρ.284 )中。 以礦物爲基礎的珠光顏料特別重要。珠光顏料製自: 無機小片狀載體以高折射指數物(通常是氧化物層)塗 覆。這些顏料的顏色由波長選擇性部分反射和反射或穿透 光於介質/氧化物或氧化物/底質介面處的干擾引起。 這些顏料的干擾由氧化物層厚度決定。銀色干擾顏料 -5- (2) 1313700 的色調由(就光學觀點)單一高折射指數層產生,此單一 高折射指數層的厚度使得最大反射値出現於約5 0 0奈米的 可見光範圍內。人體肉眼看到的此光是綠色。但於此波長 軸的最大強度曲線很寬,使得在可見光範圍內有非常多的 光反射,人類肉眼感受到非常亮但無色的印象。 根據已知的薄層光學性質規則(特別是由光學組件之 塗覆),最大干擾強度比單層系統高出6 0 %。據此,千擾 反射的光更爲明顯,此意謂預期多層系統會有綠反射色。 【發明內容】 令人訝異地,現發現到五層顏料,就它們的色彩及應 用性質,相較於以前技術的多層顏料,其性質獲改善。此 由內部結構包含高折射指數層而獲致。 本發明因此係關於以經多重塗覆的小片狀底質爲基礎 的五層顏料,其層順序至少包含 (A ) Sn02層,層厚0· 1 ·50奈米, (B ) Ti02層,層厚10-800奈米的金紅石修飾狀 態, (C ) 無色塗層,折射指數η尝1.8,層厚20-800奈 米, (D) Sn02層,層厚0. 1-50奈米, (E ) Ti02層,層厚1 0- 8 00奈米的金紅石修飾狀 熊, 及選用的 -6- (3) 1313700 (F ) 外在保護層。 根據本發明之多層顏料是干擾顔料,相較於已知之具 三層的多層顏料,其 — 亮度顯著提高 一 光澤較高,和 一 色彩變化更顯著。 本發明另係關於根據本發明之多層顏料於塗漆、塗 料、粉末塗料、印刷墨水、塑料、陶瓷材料、玻璃和化粧 品調合物,特別是裝飾性化粧品’方面之使用。根據本發 明之顏料亦適用以製造顏料製劑和用以製造無水製劑, 如:顆粒、片、九粒..等。此無水製劑特別適用於印刷墨 水。 適用於根據本發明之多層材料的基礎底質是無色或選 擇性或非選擇性吸收性小片狀底質。較佳底質是葉矽酸 鹽。特別適當的是天然和/或合成雲母、滑石、高嶺土、 小片狀鐵或鋁氧化物、玻璃、Si02、Ti〇2和石墨小片、合 成的無載體小片、氮化鈦、矽化鈦、液晶聚合物 (LCPs )、全像攝影顏料、BiOCl、小片狀混合氧化物 (如:FeTi03或FeTi05 )或其他相仿金屬。 未嚴格要求底質尺寸,可符合特別應用。通常,小片 狀底質厚度介於0.00 5和10微米之間(特別是介於0.05和5 微米之間)。其他兩維的尺寸通常介於1和5 00微米之間, 以介於2和2 00微米之間爲佳,特別是介於5和60微米之 間。 (4) 1313700 層(A)或(D)厚是〇·ι_50奈米,以0.3-30奈米爲 佳,特別是0.5-20奈米。Sn〇2層(Α)和(D)可具有相同 或不同層厚。 底質上的高或低折射指數的各層(B )和(C )和 (E )的厚度基本視顔料的光學性質而定。用於根據本發 明之多層顏料,必須精確設定各層厚度之間的關係。 層(B)或(E)厚〗0-800奈米,以20-500奈米爲佳, 特別是30-400奈米。Ti02層(B)和(E)可具有相同或不 同層厚。層(C)厚爲20-800奈米,以30-600奈米爲佳, 特別是40-500奈米。 適用於塗層(C )的無色低折射指數材料以金屬氧化 物或相關氧化物水合物(如:Si02、Al2〇3、A10 (OH ) 、B2〇3、MgF2、MgSi03 )或該金屬氧化物之混合 物爲佳。特別地,層(C )是Si02層。 根據本發明的此五層顏料製法是:在經細磨的小片狀 底質上形成多個具精確定義厚度和平滑表面的高和低折射 指數干擾層。 金屬氧化物層以藉濕化學法施用爲佳,可以使用發展 用以製備珠光顏料的濕化學塗覆法。此類型方法述於, 如:DE 14 67 468、DE 15 59 988、DE 20 29 566、DE 22 1 4 545、DE 22 15 191、DE 22 44 298、DE 23 1 3 3 3 1、 DE 1 5 22 5 72、DE 3 1 3 7 808、DE 3 1 3 7 809、DE 31 51 3 43、DE 3 1 54 3 5 4、DE 3 1 5 1 3 5 5、DE 3 2 1 1 602、DE 3 2 3 5 0 1 7,特別述於嫻於此技術者知道的其他專利文件 -8- (5) 1313700 和其他文獻中。 以濕塗覆爲例,底質顆粒懸浮於水中,一或多種可水 解的金屬鹽或水玻璃溶液於適用以水解的pH添加,後者 之選擇使得金屬氧化物或金屬氧化物水合物直接沉澱於小 片上而不會發生次要沉澱。此pH通常藉同時引入鹼和/ 或酸而維持穩定。之後分離此顏料,經清洗及於5 0 - 1 5 0 t: 乾燥6 -1 8小時,有須要時,锻燒0.5 - 3小時,此處,可視各 情況中存在的塗料地調整至最適合的鍛燒溫度。通常,鍛 燒溫度介於25 0和1 000 °C之間,以介於3 5 0和900。(:之間爲 佳。有須要時,在施用各塗層之後,顏料經分離、乾燥和 視情況鍛燒,之後再度懸浮以沉澱其他層。 此塗覆亦可進一步於流化床反應器中藉氣相塗覆進 行,此可能相關於使用EP 0 045 851和EP 0 106 235中提 出之用以製備珠光顏料的方法。 干擾顏料的色調變化極廣泛,受限於選擇不同覆蓋量 或層厚度。由選用量,藉由肉眼或測定技巧控制地接近所 欲色彩,能夠細部調整某些色調。 欲提高耐光、水和天候安定性,通常建議視施用範圍 而定在標的物上施用淸理塗層以施以後塗覆或後處理。適 當的後塗覆或後處理的進行方式述於如,German Patent 22 15 191、 DE-A 31 51 354、 DE-A 32 35 017和 DE-A-33 3 4 5 9 8。此後塗層(層F )進一步提高化學安定性或簡化 顏料操作’特別地’摻入各式各樣介質中。 根據本發明之顏料與可與多種色彩系統相配伍,以塗 -9 - (6) 1313700 漆、塗料和印刷墨水範圍爲佳。用以製備印刷墨水,如: 照相凹版印刷、橡皮凸版印刷、平版印刷或平版上光,市 售多種黏合劑(特別是水溶性黏合劑,如:BASF、 Marabu 、 Proll 、 Serucik 、 Hartmann 、 Gebr.Schmidt 、 Sicpa、Aarberg ' Siegberg ' GSB-Wahl ' Follmann ' Ruco 或Coates Screen INKS GmbH)適用。此印刷墨水可以是 以水爲基礎或以溶劑爲基礎者。此顏料亦進一步適用於紙 或塑膠的雷射標記及施用於農業(如:溫室板材和帷幕著 色)。 因爲根據本發明之多層顏料兼具高光澤和高亮度、透 明度和極佳的色彩變化,所以在各式各樣應用介質中可獲 致特別有用的效果,如:指甲亮光漆、唇膏、粉餅、凝 膠、乳液、皂和牙膏,用於塗漆,如:汽車修整、工業塗 料和粉末塗料,及用於塑膠和用於陶瓷。 因爲良好膚觸和極佳皮膚附著性,根據本發明之顏料 特別適用於裝飾性化粧品。 無庸贅言,用於各式各樣應用,根據本發明之多層顏 料亦可有利地以與有機染料、有機顏料或其他顏料之混合 物形式使用,如:透明和不透光的白色、彩色和黑色顏 料,以小片狀鐵氧化物、有機顏料、全像攝影顏料、L C P (液晶聚合物)和慣用之以經金屬氧化物塗覆的雲母和 Si〇2小片·.等爲基礎的透明、彩色和黑色光澤顏料之混合 物形式使用。根據本發明之五層顏料可以與市售顔料和塡 料以任何比例混合。 -10- (7) 1313700 可提及的顏料有,如:天然和合成雲母、尼龍粉末、 純淨或經增充的蜜胺樹脂、滑石、玻璃、高嶺土、鋁、 鎂、鈣、鋅之氧化物或氫氧化物、B i ◦ C1、硫酸鋇 '硫酸 鈣、碳酸鈣、碳酸鎂、碳和這些物質的物理或化學組合。 對於塡料的顆粒形狀沒有限制。其可根據需求地爲, 如,小片狀、球狀或針狀。 調合物中,根據本發明之顏料當然可以與所有類型的 化粧品原料和輔助劑合倂。這些特別包括,油、脂、蠟、 成膜劑、防腐劑和輔助劑,輔助劑通常決定施用性質, 如:稠化劑和流變添加物,如:膨潤土、水輝石、二氧化 石夕、砂酸釣、明膠、商分子量碳水化合物和/或表面活性 輔助劑..等。 包含根據本發明之顏料的調合物可以屬於親脂、親水 或疏水類型。以具有不連續水和非水相的非均相調合物爲 例,根據本發明之顏料可以僅存在於兩相之一中或者分散 於兩相中。 調合物的P Η値可介於1和1 4之間,以介於2和1 1之間 爲佳,介於5和8之間特別佳。 未限制根據本發明之顏料於調合物中之濃度。視應用 而定,這些濃度可以介於0 · 0 0 1 (沖洗掉的產品,例如, 沐浴膠)至1 0 0 % (如:用於特別應用的光澤效果物件) 之間。 根據本發明之顏料亦可進一步與化粧用活性成份合 倂。適當的活性成份有’如:除蟲劑、Uv A/BC保護用塡 -11 - (8) 1313700 料(如:Ο M C、B 3和]VIB C )、抗老化活性成份、維生素 和其衍生物(如:維生素A、C、E · ·等)、自身曬黑劑 (如·· DHA、赤蘚酮糖)及其他化粧活性成份(如: bisabolol、LPO、ectoin、尿囊素、生物類黃酮及其衍生 物)。 根據本發明之顏料進一步適用以製備包含一或多種根 據本發明之顏料、黏合劑和選用的一或多種塡料之可流動 的顏料製劑和無水製劑。所謂的無水製劑也是指包含〇至8 重量%水和/或溶劑或溶劑混合物的製劑。此無水製劑以 用以製備印刷墨水和化粧品調合物爲佳。 本發明亦係關於顏料於調合物(如:塗漆、印刷墨 水、安全印刷墨水、塗料、塑料、陶瓷材料、玻璃、化粧 品調合物)、作爲紙和塑膠的雷射標記之摻雜物或製備顏 料製劑和無水製劑方面之使用。 【實施方式】 下面的實例用以更詳細地解釋本發明,但不欲對其造 成限制。 實例 實例1 :具顯著色彩變化的5-層顏料 100g顆粒尺寸10-60微米的雲母於2升去礦質水中於攪 拌時加熱至80°C 。達此溫度時,由2.3g SnCl4x5H20和 10ml氫氯酸(37%)於70ml去礦質水中構成的溶液於攪拌 -12- (9) 1313700 時,於pH1.8,緩慢加至雲母懸浮液中。220g 32% TiCl4 溶液(4 0 0 g T i C 14 /升)之後於ρ Η 1 · 8添力□,此期間內,使 用3 2 %氫氧化鈉溶液維持ρ Η穩定。之後將ρ Η提高至7.5, 8 0 0 m 1鈉水玻璃溶液(1 3 · 0重量% S i Ο 2 )於此ρ Η緩慢添 加,此期間內,以10%HC1維持ρΗ7·5。進一步攪拌約〇.5 小時之後’使用氫氯酸(10% )將pH降至1.8,添加2.3 g SnCl4x5H20和10ml氫氯酸(32%)於70ml去礦質水中之溶 液。之後於pHl.8緩慢添加約200ml TiCl4溶液(400gTiCl4 /升)。使用氫氧化鈉溶液(3 2重量% )維持PH穩定。再 於pH 1.8攪拌0.5小時之後,濾出經塗覆的雲母,經淸洗及 於1 1 0 °C乾燥1 6小時。最後,顏料於8 5 0 °C度鍛燒0.5小 時。 得到改變平面觀察角度時,自藍色至紅色色彩變化劇 烈的藍色干擾顏料。 實例2 l〇〇g顆粒尺寸10-6〇微米的雲母於2升去礦質水中於攪 拌時加熱至80°C。達此溫度時,由3g SnCl4x5H20和10ml 氫氯酸(3 7 % )於9 0 g水中構成的溶液於劇烈攪拌時,緩 慢加至雲母懸浮液中。2 2 0 m 1 T i C 14溶液(4 0 0 g T i C 14 / 升)之後於Ρ Η 1 · 8添加,此期間內,維持ρ Η穩定。之後使 ρ Η穩定於7 · 5。之後將ρ Η提高至7.5,8 3 0 m 1鈉水玻璃溶液 (13.0重量%Si02 )於此pH緩慢添加,此期間內,以 10%HC1維持 PH7.5。之後於ρΗ1_8,添加 ii」g SnCl4x5H20 -13- (10) 1313700 和1 0ml氫氯酸(32% )於3 5 0ml去礦質水中之溶液。最 後’於 pHl .8添加 220ml TiCl4溶液(400gTiCl4 / 升)。添 加SnCl4x5H20和TiCl4溶液期間內,使用氫氧化鈉溶液 (32% )維持PH穩定。 濾出經塗覆的雲母顏料,經淸洗及於1 1 0 °C乾燥1 6小 時。最後,顏料於8 5 0 °C度锻燒〇 · 5小時。 得到於平面角度觀察時,顏色是紅一紫的綠一藍色干 擾顏料。 使用例
