Abstract

A sanitary water valve in the form of a single shut-off valve or a mixing valve with one or more control levers, with particular emphasis on single-lever mixing valves with water-ways facilitating water influx and at least one water outlet or discharge and with a fitting body to hold the control elements which, notably, are assembled together as a constructional unit in a cartridge, whereby the supply pipes allowing water to flow in are connected to the cartridge by means of an insertion piece adjacent to the cartridge, in order to prevent contact with the water coming through, the inside of the water-ways (52) are provided with a shielding cover made of a lead-free material which does not present any risk to health.
