Abstract

一種防水連接器,包括絕緣本體以及若干導電端子。絕緣本體為一體注塑成型且具有形成對接空間的前端部以及自前端部一體向後延伸、內部形成若干個端子槽的後端部,端子槽與對接空間連通,絕緣本體自外表面向內凹陷形成與端子槽連通的容納槽。導電端子自後向前插入組裝至絕緣本體內,導電端子具有接觸部、固持部以及尾部,接觸部向前延伸入對接空間內,尾部向後延伸出絕緣本體外,容納槽內成型有絕緣塊而將固持部保持在端子槽內。

Description

防水連接器及其製造方法
本發明涉及一種防水連接器及其製造方法,尤其是一種防水性能好的USB電連接器及其製造方法。
連接器,作為連接兩個有源器件、傳輸電流或訊號的器件,被廣泛應用於電子產品上。隨著電子行業的飛速發展,對電子產品零組件的結構要求越來越輕薄短小的同時,對連接器的各項性能要求也越來越高。為了提升電連接器內部元件的穩定性,目前電連接器行業內已開發出具有防水結構的連接器,以抵擋水氣、灰塵等進入電連接器內部。現有的USB Type-C連接器,包括端子模組、主絕緣本體和屏蔽結構。所述端子模組具有上排導電端子、通過注塑與上排導電端子成型為一體的上絕緣本體、下排導電端子、通過注塑與下排導電端子成型為一體的下絕緣本體以及定位嵌裝於所述上絕緣本體和所述下絕緣本體之間的中間接地板。所述上絕緣本體、下絕緣本體以及中間接地板組裝為端子模組後,所述主絕緣本體通過注塑成型於所述端子模組。所述的兩排端子注塑後組裝再注塑的分段式防水結構,存在組裝縫隙,從而防水性能不佳。
因此,有必要提供一種新的防水連接器及其製造方法以解決上述問題。
本發明的目的在於提供一種防水連接器及其製造方法,大大提高了連接器的防水性能。
為實現上述目的,本發明採用如下技術內容一:一種防水連接器,包括絕緣本體以及若干導電端子,所述絕緣本體為一體注塑成型且具有形成對接空間的前端部以及自前端部一體向後延伸、內部形成若干個端子槽的後端部,所述端子槽與對接空間連通,所述絕緣本體自外表面向內凹陷形成與端子槽連通的容納槽,所述導電端子自後向前插入組裝至所述絕緣本體內,所述導電端子具有接觸部、固持部以及尾部,所述接觸部向前延伸入對接空間內,所述尾部向後延伸出絕緣本體外,所述容納槽內成型有絕緣塊而將固持部保持在端子槽內。
作為本發明進一步改進的實施態樣一,所述絕緣塊係注塑成型或灌膠成型中的一種。
作為本發明進一步改進的實施態樣一,所述接觸部包括第一接觸部和第二接觸部,所述第一接觸部位於對接空間的上方且朝向下凸伸入對接空間,所述第二接觸部位於對接空間的下方且朝向上凸伸入對接空間。
作為本發明進一步改進的實施態樣一,所述尾部和印刷電路板連接,所述尾部是插板部或焊接部中的一種。
作為本發明進一步改進的實施態樣一,還包括插入組裝至絕緣本體上的一對鎖扣,每一鎖扣包括位於絕緣本體側邊的彈性部以及位於彈性部末端且延伸入至對接空間內的頭部,所述兩個頭部位於對接空間的兩側且相對向設置。
作為本發明進一步改進的實施態樣一,還包括組裝於絕緣本體外的金屬外殼,所述鎖扣的彈性部夾持於絕緣本體和金屬外殼之間。
為實現上述目的,本發明採用如下實施態樣二:一種防水連接器的製造方法,包括如下步驟:步驟一:注塑成型絕緣本體,注塑的過程中通過上模工件、下模工件和插針工件預留相互連通的容納槽和端子槽;步驟二:將若干導電端子自後向前插入至上述絕緣本體的端子槽內;步驟三:在容納槽內注塑或灌膠成型絕緣塊。
作為本發明進一步改進的實施態樣二,所述步驟二中,將導電端子插入絕緣本體的同時將一對鎖扣自後向前插入組裝至絕緣本體內。
作為本發明進一步改進的實施態樣二,還包括位於步驟三之後的步驟四:將金屬外殼組裝至絕緣本體外。
作為本發明進一步改進的實施態樣二,還包括位於步驟四之後的步驟五:將導電端子和印刷電路板連接之後在絕緣本體和印刷電路板之間注塑成型一個後擋板。
相較於相關技術,本發明具有一體注塑成型的絕緣本體,無前案所述上絕緣本體和下絕緣本體之間的組裝間隙;導電端子係插入組裝至絕緣本體內,且在將導電端子組裝至絕緣本體後,於絕緣本體上預留的容納槽內注塑或灌膠成型絕緣塊,從而封堵了導電端子與絕緣本體之間的間隙,實現了有效的防水。
請參考圖1至圖6,一種防水連接器100,包括絕緣本體1以及若干導電端子2。所述絕緣本體1為一體注塑成型且具有形成對接空間10的前端部11以及自前端部11一體向後延伸、內部形成若干個端子槽14的後端部12,所述端子槽14與對接空間10連通。所述絕緣本體1自外表面向內凹陷形成與端子槽14連通的容納槽13。所述導電端子2自後向前插入組裝至所述絕緣本體1內,所述導電端子2具有接觸部21、固持部22以及尾部23,所述接觸部21向前延伸入對接空間10內,所述尾部23向後延伸出絕緣本體1外,所述容納槽13內成型有絕緣塊3而將固持部22保持在端子槽14內。
具體實施方式中,所述絕緣塊3係注塑成型或灌膠成型中的一種。
請參考圖3至圖5,所述接觸部21包括第一接觸部211和第二接觸部212。所述第一接觸部211位於對接空間10的上方且朝向下凸伸入對接空間10,所述第二接觸部212位於對接空間10的下方且朝向上凸伸入對接空間10。對接時,所述第一接觸部211和第二接觸部212從上下兩面與對接連接器形成夾持。
請參考圖3和圖4,所述尾部23和印刷電路板6連接。在本實施方式中,所述尾部23是焊接部,即導電端子2是折彎式端子;在其他實施方式中,所述尾部23是插板部,即導電端子2是下料式端子。因為本發明的導電端子2係從後向前組裝至絕緣本體1內,因此,本發明對於下料式端子,折彎式端子均可使用且不用增加額外的加工工序。
請參考圖3和圖4,本發明防水連接器100還包括插入組裝至絕緣本體1上的一對鎖扣4,每一鎖扣4包括位於絕緣本體1側邊的彈性部41以及位於彈性部41末端且伸入至對接空間10內的頭部42,所述兩個頭部42位於對接空間10的兩側且相對向設置。所述鎖扣4的作用是和對接連接器在左右方向上形成夾持作用。
請參考圖1至圖4,本發明防水連接器100還包括組裝於絕緣本體1外的金屬外殼5,所述鎖扣4的彈性部41夾持於絕緣本體1和金屬外殼5之間。金屬外殼5具有防外部訊號干擾的屏蔽作用。
本發明還涉及一種防水連接器的製造方法,包括如下步驟:
步驟一:注塑成型絕緣本體1,注塑的過程中通過上模工件(未圖示)、下模工件(未圖示)和插針工件(未圖示)預留相互連通的容納槽13和端子槽14。
步驟二:將若干導電端子2自後向前插入至上述絕緣本體1的端子槽14內。
步驟三:在容納槽13內注塑或灌膠成型絕緣塊3。
本發明具體實施方式的步驟二中,將導電端子2插入絕緣本體1的同時將一對鎖扣4自後向前插入組裝至絕緣本體1內。
具體實施方式中,本發明還包括位於步驟三之後、將金屬外殼5組裝至絕緣本體1外的步驟四以及位於步驟四之後、將導電端子2和印刷電路板6連接之後在絕緣本體1和印刷電路板6之間注塑成型一個後擋板7的步驟五。
本發明具有一體注塑成型的絕緣本體1,無前案所述上絕緣本體1和下絕緣本體1之間的組裝間隙;導電端子2係插入組裝至絕緣本體1內,且在將導電端子2組裝至絕緣本體1後,於絕緣本體1上預留的容納槽13內注塑或灌膠成型絕緣塊3,從而封堵了導電端子2與絕緣本體1之間的間隙,實現了有效的防水。

  1. 一種防水連接器,包括一絕緣本體以及若干導電端,其中: 該絕緣本體為一體注塑成型且具有形成一對接空間的一前端部以及自該前端部一體向後延伸、內部形成若干個端子槽的一後端部,該端子槽與該對接空間連通,該絕緣本體自外表面向內凹陷形成與該端子槽連通的一容納槽,該導電端子自後向前插入組裝至該絕緣本體內,該導電端子具有一接觸部、一固持部以及一尾部,該接觸部向前延伸入該對接空間內,該尾部向後延伸出該絕緣本體外,該容納槽內成型有一絕緣塊而將該固持部保持在該端子槽內。
  2. 如請求項1所述的防水連接器,其中:該絕緣塊係注塑成型或灌膠成型中的一種。
  3. 如請求項1所述的防水連接器,其中:該接觸部包括一第一接觸部和一第二接觸部,該第一接觸部位於該對接空間的上方且朝向下凸伸入該對接空間,該第二接觸部位於該對接空間的下方且朝向上凸伸入該對接空間。
  4. 如請求項1所述的防水連接器,其中:該尾部和一印刷電路板連接,該尾部是插板部或焊接部中的一種。
  5. 如請求項1所述的防水連接器,其中:還包括插入組裝至該絕緣本體上的一對鎖扣,每一該鎖扣包括位於該絕緣本體側邊的一彈性部以及位於該彈性部末端且延伸入至該對接空間內的一頭部,兩個該頭部位於該對接空間的兩側且相對向設置。
  6. 如請求項5所述的防水連接器,其中:還包括組裝於該絕緣本體外的一金屬外殼,該鎖扣的該彈性部夾持於該絕緣本體和該金屬外殼之間。
  7. 一種防水連接器的製造方法,其中:包括如下步驟: 步驟一:注塑成型一絕緣本體,注塑的過程中通過一上模工件、一下模工件和一插針工件預留相互連通的一容納槽和一端子槽; 步驟二:將若干導電端子自後向前插入至該絕緣本體的該端子槽內;及 步驟三:在該容納槽內注塑或灌膠成型一絕緣塊。
  8. 如請求項7所述的防水連接器的製造方法,其中:所述步驟二中,將該等導電端子插入該絕緣本體的同時將一對鎖扣自後向前插入組裝至該絕緣本體內。
  9. 如請求項7所述的防水連接器的製造方法,其中:還包括位於步驟三之後的步驟四:將一金屬外殼組裝至該絕緣本體外。
  10. 如請求項9所述的防水連接器的製造方法,其中:還包括位於步驟四之後的步驟五:將該導電端子和一印刷電路板連接之後在該絕緣本體和該印刷電路板之間注塑成型一個後擋板。
