Description

具管理模組的電池系統
本發明是有關於一種適用於電動車的電池系統,特別是指一種具有至少一浸沒於一熱管理流體中以收集單電池(battery cell)及熱管理流體之資訊的感測單元的電池系統。
中國申請號第CN207542358U號實用新型專利揭露一種適用於電動車的傳統液冷式電池模組。該液冷式電池模組包含多個電池模組、多個與電池模組交錯設置的散熱鰭片,以及一供該等電池模組及該等散熱鰭片裝設其上的液冷板。每一電池模組包括多個電池及多個連接於電池之電極的匯流排。每一電池模組的匯流排藉由絕緣導熱層與相應的散熱鰭片形成接觸。
美國證書號第US7414845B2號發明專利揭露一種傳統的電路板總成,該電路板總成例如為電腦的主機板,並適用於例如為電腦的液體浸沒冷卻式電子裝置(liquid submersion cooled electronic device)。該電路板總成被配置為在電路板浸沒於冷卻液體中時促進該冷卻液體的流動,藉以改善來自電路板上的發熱構件的熱傳遞。對一電腦來說,諸如多個處理器、多個記憶體、多個影像處理卡、多個電源供應器等眾多發熱構件係裝設在主機板上。用於冷卻液體的泵浦也可以裝設在主機板上。請注意此等發熱構件僅因冷卻目的而被浸沒於冷卻液體中。
因此,本發明之其中一目的,即在提供一種適用於電動車的電池系統,該電池系統包含至少一個浸沒於熱管理流體中以用於收集單電池及熱管理流體之資訊的感測單元。
根據本發明之實施態樣,該電池系統包含至少一電池模組及一管理模組。該電池模組包括多個單電池及一外殼,該外殼界定一容納該等單電池的容置空間,該容置空間能讓熱管理流體流通以對該等單電池提供熱管理之效果。該管理模組包括至少一感測單元,並耦接於該電池模組,讓該感測模組能浸沒熱管理流體中以收集該等單電池及該熱管理流體的資訊。
在本發明被詳細描述之前,應當注意在以下的說明內容中,類似的元件是以相同的編號來表示。
參閱圖1,為本發明適用於電動車(圖未示)的電池系統的第一實施例,該電池系統係包含至少一電池模組100及一管理模組200。
該電池模組包括多個單電池(battery cell) 101及一外殼102。該外殼102界定一容納該等單電池102的容置空間103,該容置空間103能讓熱管理流體(thermal management fluid)流通以對該等單電池102提供熱管理之效果。每一單電池102具有一第一端點11及一相反於該的一端點11的第二端點12。該熱管理流體可以(但不限於)是礦物油(mineral oil)、矽油(silicone oil)、酯基油(ester-based oil)或冷卻液engineered fluid等。在一實施態樣中,該熱管理流體係用於冷卻該等單電池101,並採用冷卻液engineered fluid。
參照圖1所示之一實施態樣,該電池模組100還包括一配置為讓該等單電池101的第一端點11彼此形成電連接的第一連接條單元13,以及一配置為讓該等單電池101的第二端點12彼此形成電連接的第二連接條單元14。該第一連接條單元13具有多個第一連接條131,該第二連接條單元14具有多個第二連接條141。該第一、第二連接條單元13、14的實施細節類似於發明人之在前專利申請案(US2017/0279172 A1、EP 3223338 A1等)中的揭露內容。
參照圖1所示之一實施態樣,該電池系統包含多個電池模組100。該等電池模組100系相互疊置,讓該等電池模組100的單電池101之間可透過該第一、第二連接條單元13、14形成電連接,並讓熱管理流體能依序流經該等電池模組100之該等外殼10中的容置空間103。該等電池模組100可透過類似樂高積木的連鎖積木形式(interlocking building block)堆疊,藉以形成一電池組(battery pack)。
該管理模組200包括至少一感測單元300,並耦接於該等電池模組100,而讓該感測單元300能浸沒於熱管理流體中以收集該等單電池101及該熱管理流體的資訊。
參照圖1及圖2所示之一實施態樣,該管理模組200還包括一殼體201及一管理電路板203。
該殼體201界定一內空間202並耦接於該等電池模組100的最前者(leading one)或尾接者(trailing one),使該熱管理流體能流經該內空間202。
參照圖1所示之一實施態樣,該殼體201係耦接於該等電池模組100中的最前者的外殼102,使該內空間202中的熱管理流體能被引入該等電池模組100中的最前者的容置空間103中。該管理電路板203係設置於該內空間202中而能沉浸於該熱管理流體中,並具有管理接受自該感測單元300之資訊的功能。
參照圖1及圖2所示之一實施態樣,係可透過單一感測單元300來實施,且該感測單元300具有一連接感測器301、一流量計302、多個壓力感測器303以及多個溫度感測器304。
該連接感測器301係設置於該管理電路板203上,並電連接於該等電池模組100的最前者中的兩個第一連接條131,以用於偵測該兩個第一連接條131之間的電阻值。該連接感測器301係用於確認該熱管理流體的汙染程度或化學變化。該連接感測器301以及該兩個第一連接條131之間的電性連接關係以虛線呈現於圖1中。
該流量計302係設置於該管理電路板203上,以用於偵測該熱管理流體的流速,並用來確認用於該熱管理流體的一泵浦(圖未示)是否適切地運作。
該等壓力感測器303分別設置於該等電池模組100的該等容置空間103中,以用於量測該等容置空間103中的熱管理流體的流體壓力。該等壓力感測器303係電連接於該管理電路板203,使得該等壓力感測器303與該管理電路板203之間能夠進行資料通信。在一實施態樣中,該等壓力感測器303為微機電式壓力感測器(atmospheric MEMS sensors)。
該等溫度感測器304分別設置於該等容置空間103中,以用於偵測該等容置空間103中的熱管理流體的溫度。該等溫度感測器304係電連接於該管理電路板203,使得該等溫度感測器304與該管理電路板203之間能夠進行資料通信。
需注意的是,浸沒於熱管理流體中的連接感測器301、流量計302、壓力感測器303、溫度感測器304是用於理解電池及熱管理流體的運作及使用條件,而非要對連接感測器301、流量計302、壓力感測器303、溫度感測器304進行冷卻。此種配置方式有助於提升電池組的安全性。
單電池101與感測器之間的電性連接構件(electrical connections)容易發生溫度上升的狀況,其熱散逸係為廢熱(waste heat)之形式。若前述電性連接構件的組成包含保險絲,其溫度變化容易對保險絲的熔融造成不良影響。電性連接構件處於相對高溫的狀態也可能對電池模組的效能造成不良影響。藉由將電性連接構件浸沒於熱管理流體中以進行冷卻,係有助於提升電池模組的效能並減少電力浪費。需注意的是,鑒於本實施例的電性連接構件係完全浸沒於熱管理流體中以增進其冷卻效果,本發明的電池模組顯然有別於傳統的電池模組。
參閱圖3,為本發明適用於電動車之電池系統的第二實施例。該第二實施例係類似於第一實施例,但在第二實施例中該管理模組200包括多個分別設置於該電池模組100之該等容置空間103中的感測單元300。每一感測單元300具有一印刷電路板305、一連接感測器301、一流量計302、一壓力感測器303以及一溫度感測器304。
該印刷電路板305係設置於一相應的容置空間103中。
該連接感測器301設置於該印刷電路板305上,並電連接於相應的電池模組100的該等第一連接條131之中的其中二者,以用於偵測該兩個第一連接條131之間的電阻值。該連接感測器301以及該兩個第一連接條131之間的電性連接關係以虛線呈現於圖3中。
該流量計302設置於該印刷電路板305上,以用於偵測相應的容置空間103中的熱管理流體的流速。
該壓力感測器303係設置於該印刷電路板305上,以用於偵測相應的容置空間103中的熱管理流體的流體壓力。在一實施態樣中,該等壓力感測器303為微機電式壓力感測器。
該溫度感測器304係設置於該印刷電路板305上,以用於偵測相應的容置空間103中的熱管理流體的溫度。
參照圖3所示之一實施態樣,每一感測單元300還具有一設置在該印刷電路板305上的無線傳輸器(wireless transmitter)306,該無線傳輸器306用於傳輸接收自該連接感測器301、該流量計302、該壓力感測器303及該溫度感測器304的資料。
除此之外,該管理模組200還包括一設置於該管理電路板203上的無線接收器204,以用於接收來自該等感測單元300之該等無線傳輸器306的資料。
參閱圖4,為本發明適用於電動車之電池系統的第三實施例。該第三實施例係類似於第二實施例,但在第三實施例中電池系統未包含前述第二實施例之該無線傳輸器306及無線接收器204,且該印刷電路板305上的一電路係電連接於該管理電路板203上的一電路,使得收集自該連接感測器301、該流量計302、該壓力感測器303、該溫度感測器304的資料能被傳輸至該管理電路板203。

Claims (10)

  1. 一種電池系統,適用於一電動車,包含: 至少一電池模組,包括多個單電池及一外殼,該外殼界定一容納該等單電池的容置空間,該容置空間能讓熱管理流體流通以對該等單電池提供熱管理之效果;及 一管理模組,包括至少一感測單元,並耦接於該電池模組,而讓該感測模組能浸沒熱管理流體中以收集該等單電池及該熱管理流體的資訊。
  2. 如請求項1所述之電池系統,其中,每一單電池具有一第一端點及一第二端點,且該電池模組還包括一讓該等第一端點形成電連接的第一連接條單元,以及一讓該等第二端點形成電連接的第二連接條單元。
  3. 如請求項2所述之電池系統,包含多個電池模組,該等電池模組相互疊置,讓該等電池模組的該等單電池之間可透過該第一連接條單元及該第二連接條單元形成電連接,並讓熱管理流體能依序流經該等電池模組的該等外殼中的容置空間;該管理模組還包括: 一殼體,界定一內空間,並耦接於該等電池模組的最前者或尾接者,讓熱管理流體能流經該內空間,及 一管理電路板,設置於該內空間中而能沉浸於熱管理流體中,並能管理接收自該感測單元的資訊。
  4. 如請求項3所述之電池系統,其中,該殼體耦接於該等電池模組中的最前者的外殼,使該內空間中的熱管理流體能被引入該等電池模組中的最前者的容置空間中。
  5. 如請求項4所述之電池系統,其中,該第一連接條單元具有多個第一連接條,該感測單元具有: 一連接感測器,設置於該管理電路板上,並電連接於該等電池模組的最前者中的兩個第一連接條,以用於偵測該兩個第一連接條之間的電阻值, 一流量計,設置於該管理電路板上,以用於偵測熱管理流體的流速, 多個壓力感測器,分別設置於該等電池模組的該等容置空間中,以用於量測該等量測空間中的熱管理流體的流體壓力,該等壓力感測器係電連接於該管理電路板,使得該等壓力感測器與該管理電路板之間能夠進行資料通信,及 多個溫度感測器,分別設置於該等容置空間中,以用於偵測該等容置空間中的熱管理流體的溫度,該等溫度感測器係電連接於該管理電路板,使得該等溫度感測器與該管理電路板之間能夠進行資料通信。
  6. 如請求項5所述之電池系統,其中,該壓力感測器為微機電式壓力感測器。
  7. 如請求項4所述之電池系統,其中,該第一連接條單元具有多個第一連接條,該管理模組包括多個分別設置於該等電池模組之該等容置空間中的感測單元,每一感測單元具有: 一印刷電路板,設置於一相應的該容置空間中, 一連接感測器,設置於該印刷電路板上,並電連接於相應的電池模組的該等第一連接條之中的其中二者,以用於偵測該兩個第一連接條之間的電阻值, 一流量計,設置於該印刷電路板上,以用於偵測相應的容置空間中的熱管理流體的流速, 一壓力感測器,設置於該印刷電路板上,以用於偵測相應的容置空間中的熱管理流體的流體壓力,及 一溫度感測器,設置於該印刷電路板上,以用於偵測相應的容置空間中的熱管理流體的溫度。
  8. 如請求項7所述之電池系統,其中,每一感測單元還具有一設置於該印刷電路板上的無線傳輸器,該無線傳輸器用於傳輸接受自該連接感測器、該流量計、該壓力感測器及該溫度感測器的資料;該管理模組還包括一設置於該管理電路板上的無線接收器,該無線接收器用於接收來自該等感測單元之該等無線傳輸器的資料。
  9. 如請求項7所述之電池系統,其中,該壓力感測器為微機電式壓力感測器。
  10. 如請求項7所述之電池系統,其中,該印刷電路板上的一電路係電連接於該管理電路板上的一電路,使得收集自該連接感測器、該流量計、該壓力感測器及該溫度感測器的資料能被傳輸至該管理電路板。
