本發明涉及一種包括量子點膜和色彩純度增強薄膜的液晶顯示器,本發明的液晶顯示器能夠最大限度地透射從光源射出的純RGB波長,並且吸收RGB波長以外的不必要的波長,以提高色彩純度。
Description
本發明涉及一種藉由包含量子點膜和色彩純度增強薄膜來最大化增強色彩純度的液晶顯示器。
以前40英寸(")代的電視為主流,但是現在有很多消費者購買50"代以及60"代的電視。隨著這種尺寸競爭的結束,便開始了解析度競爭。直到一年前全高畫質解析(FHD,Full HD)還屬於高檔模型,但是現在超高畫質(UHD,Ultra High Definition)已在市場中迅速推廣。
目前顯示器市場由大尺寸、高解析度競爭演變成色彩競爭。由這樣的原因,近年來興起了製造具有優異色彩的顯示器的競爭。
液晶顯示器(LCD,liquid crystal display)是利用液晶(liquid crystal)的光學特性來顯示圖像,但是顯示圖像的液晶面板本身是不發光的非發光元件,因此具有包括液晶面板和配置在液晶面板背面並向液晶面板提供光的背光單元(back-light unit)的結構。液晶顯示器作為利用在移動設備、電腦的顯示器及高畫質電視(HDTV)等的顯示器而備受關注,但是與其它顯示器相比在色彩方面稍微落後。
一方面,近年來為實現高品質色彩再現顯示器所提出的多種解決方案中呈現出最突出特性的是使用包括量子點(quantum dot)粒子的量子點膜(參照韓國公開專利第2014-056490號及第2013-123718號)。但是,在清晰度標準也同樣為滿足超高清(UHD)電視而改變的實際情況下,量子點膜能夠實現的高品質色彩再現水平達不到標準。具體而言,量子點膜雖然對高清電視(HD TV)標準的BT.709或數位影院標準的DCI-P3能夠達到100%水平,但是對作為超高畫質電視(UHD TV)標準新出的BT.2020,只能達到70至80%水平。
因此,需要能夠將現有的液晶顯示器的色彩純度大幅提高到新標準的新技術。
(一)欲解決的技術問題
因此本發明的目的在於提供一種液晶顯示器,其能夠最大限度地透射從光源射出的純RGB(red、green、blue)波長,並阻塞RGB波長以外的不必要的波長,以最大限度提高液晶顯示器的色彩純度。
(二)技術方案
為實現上述目的本發明提供一種液晶顯示器,作為包括背光單元和液晶面板的液晶顯示器,其中,所述背光單元包括具有量子點粒子的量子點膜,所述背光單元、液晶面板或兩個結構中具有一個以上的塗覆層或黏著層,所述一個以上的塗覆層或黏著層包括吸收特定波長段的一種以上的吸收染料。
(三)發明效果
根據本發明,將吸收特定波長段的一種以上的吸收染料導入至液晶顯示器的黏著層或塗覆層內,且結構中包括量子點膜,從而最大限度地透射從光源射出的純RGB波長,並阻塞RGB波長以外的不必要的波長,以提高色域(gamut),由此能夠製造最大限度提高色彩純度的液晶顯示器。
本發明的液晶顯示器包括背光單元和液晶面板,所述背光單元包括具有量子點粒子的量子點膜,所述背光單元、液晶面板或兩個結構中均具有一個以上的塗覆層或黏著層,並且所述一個以上的塗覆層或黏著層包括吸收特定波長段的一種以上的吸收染料。
在第1圖中示出了本發明的一個實施例的液晶顯示器的結構。
參照第1圖,液晶面板10以層疊的形式依次包括上偏光板101、第一黏著層102、液晶單元103、第二黏著層104及下偏光板105,背光單元20能夠依次包括雙層增亮膜(dual brightness enhancement film;DBEF)211或擴散片221、水平棱鏡片202、垂直棱鏡片203、量子點膜204、導光板205及反射板206。
此外,參照第2a圖至第2d圖,所述雙層增亮膜211能夠具有多層結構(圖中未示出),所述擴散片221中擴散片基材221-3的一面可設有具備第一珠221-1的擴散塗覆層221-2,其相反面可設有具備第二珠221-5的隱蔽塗覆層221-4。進而,所述水平棱鏡片202中棱鏡片基材202-2的一面可設有棱鏡圖案層202-1,其相反面可設有具備第三珠202-4的背面塗覆層202-3。以及,所述垂直棱鏡片203也能夠具有與所述水平棱鏡片202相同的層結構。而且,所述反射板206中反射板基材206-3的一面可設有具備第四珠206-1的正面塗覆層206-2。
此外,參照第3圖,所述量子點膜204可包括第一基材層40、第二基材層50以及在所述第一基材層和第二基材層之間形成的光轉換層30,所述光轉換層包括量子點粒子(第一量子點粒子31、第二量子點粒子32)、光散射劑33及高分子樹脂34。
但是,本發明的液晶顯示器並不限定於上述結構,可以根據需求進行多種變形。
參照液晶顯示器的基本原理,由光源射出的光經過導光板向液晶面板方向被誘導後,經過量子點膜的同時轉換成具有更長的波長的光,由此向液晶面板方向(上方)射出。使從量子點膜射出的光藉由棱鏡片,從而阻止光向出光面正面以外的方向射出,提高光定向性,縮小視角來提高向背光出光面正面方向的亮度。此時,在背光單元中使用諸如雙層增亮膜的單獨的薄膜,從而能夠藉由光再迴圈(recycling)最大限度地提高亮度。
根據本發明,所述背光單元、液晶面板或兩個結構中均具有包含吸收特定波長段的一種以上的吸收染料的塗覆層或黏著層。
所述液晶面板依次包括上偏光板、第一黏著層、液晶單元、第二黏著層及下偏光板,所述第一黏著層、第二黏著層或兩者均可包括吸收特定波長段的一種以上的吸收染料。例如,所述黏著層可濕式塗覆形成在上偏光板及下偏光板的一面或兩面。
所述黏著層的厚度可以為2至100μm、5至100μm或15至25μm。
此外,所述黏著層可以包括壓敏膠黏劑。所述壓敏膠黏劑可以是例如,選自由丙烯酸類、聚氨酯類、環氧基類及矽類膠黏劑組成的組中的一種以上的膠黏劑。具體而言,所述壓敏膠黏劑可以為丙烯酸類膠黏劑。
所述背光單元依次包括雙層增亮膜(DBEF)或擴散片、棱鏡片、量子點膜、導光板及反射板,在所述雙層增亮膜或擴散片的一面或兩面、所述棱鏡片的一面或兩面、所述量子點膜的一面或兩面及所述反射板的一面中的一個以上的位置具有塗覆層,所述塗覆層可以包括吸收特定波長段的一種以上的吸收染料。例如,所述塗覆層可濕式塗覆形成在雙層增亮膜或擴散片的一面或兩面、棱鏡片的一面或兩面、量子點膜的一面或兩面及反射板的一面(即導光板相對面)。
所述棱鏡片可以是水平棱鏡片、垂直棱鏡片或這些棱鏡片的組合。
所述塗覆層的厚度可以為1至100μm、2至100μm或2至15μm。
所述塗覆層可以包括黏合劑樹脂。所述黏合劑樹脂可以是例如,選自由聚酯類、丙烯酸類、聚氨酯類、密胺類、聚乙烯醇類及惡唑啉類黏合劑樹脂組成的組中的一種以上樹脂。具體而言,所述黏合劑樹脂可以是丙烯酸類黏合劑樹脂。
包括所述吸收染料的黏著層及/或塗覆層被稱為色彩純度增強薄膜,根據所述色彩純度增強薄膜的位置,尤其根據塗覆層的位置,液晶顯示器的發光色彩純度及亮度損失不同,因此可以根據需求適當調整所述位置。
此外,所述吸收染料可以是主吸收波長段為RGB以外的波長段的吸收染料的至少一個以上的組合。具體而言,所述吸收染料可以具有380至430nm、480至510nm或560至600nm的主吸收波長段。例如,遮罩380至430nm的波長段的吸收染料可以是羥基苯並三氮唑(HB,Hydroxy benzotriazole)類、三間苯二酚三嗪發色團(TRTC,Tris-Resorcinol-Triazine chromophore)類、羥基苯基苯並三唑發色團(HBC,Hydroxylphenyl-benzotriazole chromophore)類吸收染料;遮罩480至510nm的波長段的吸收染料可以是吡咯亞甲基(PM,pyrrol methin)類、羅丹明(RH,Rhodamin)類、硼二吡咯(BODIBY,Boron Dipyrromethene)類吸收染料;遮罩560至600nm的波長段的吸收染料可以是四氮雜卟啉(TAP,Tetra aza porphyrin)類、羅丹明類、方酸箐(SQ,Squarine)類及花青(CY,Cyanine)類吸收染料。
所述吸收染料可以選自由羥基苯並三氮唑(HB)類、三間苯二酚三嗪發色團(TRTC)類、羥基苯基苯並三唑發色團(HBC)類、吡咯亞甲基類、羅丹明類、硼二吡咯類、四氮雜卟啉類、方酸箐類及花青類染料組成的組。更加具體而言,所述吸收染料可以選自由羥基苯並三氮唑類、花青類、吡咯亞甲基類及四氮雜卟啉類染料組成的組。更加具體而言,所述吸收染料可以是羥基苯並三氮唑類、花青類及四氮雜卟啉類染料的組合。
以塗覆層或黏著層總重量為基準,可以包括0.01至10重量%的所述吸收染料。具體而言,以塗覆層或黏著層總重量為基準,可以包括0.05至7重量%的所述吸收染料。
所述黏著層和塗覆層為遮擋紫外線(UV)光可以進一步包括防紫外線劑。所述防紫外線劑吸收(遮罩)430nm以下的光,例如,可以單獨或混合2種以上的羥基苯並三氮唑(HB,Hydroxy benzotriazole)類、三間苯二酚三嗪發色團(TRTC,Tris-Resorcinol-Triazine chromophore)類或羥基苯基苯並三唑發色團(HBC,Hydroxylphenyl-benzotriazole chromophore)類染料來使用。
以黏著層或塗覆層總重量為基準,所述黏著層和塗覆層可包括0.01至10重量%或0.05至7重量%的防紫外線劑。
所述黏著層和塗覆層的透光率能夠根據液晶顯示器的亮度範圍進行調整,但是,具體而言,可具有30至90%或50至90%的可視光透光率。
所述量子點膜可以包括第一基材層40、第二基材層50以及在所述第一基材層和第二基材層之間形成的光轉換層30,所述光轉換層包括量子點粒子(第一量子點粒子31、第二量子點粒子32)、光散射劑33及高分子樹脂34。
所述光轉換層可以具有10至200μm的厚度。
所述高分子樹脂34可以是熱硬化型或紫外線固化型高分子樹脂,例如,可以是選自由聚酯類、聚氨酯類、聚丁二烯類、丙烯酸類、環氧基類、聚碳酸酯類、矽類、密胺類樹脂及其共聚物組成的組中的一種以上。具體而言,所述高分子樹脂可以是紫外線固化型高分子樹脂。
以光轉換層100重量份為基準,所述光轉換層能夠包括50至95重量份、80至95重量份或85至95重量份的高分子樹脂。
所述量子點粒子31、32具有在吸收光後發射具有對應於量子點的帶隙的波長的光等轉換光的波長的功能。所述量子點粒子為球形的奈米物質,可以具有2至10nm的平均粒徑。
所述量子點粒子可以是一種以上的量子點粒子,使用藍色光源時,例如,可以是顯示綠色的第一量子點粒子31和顯示紅色的第二量子點粒子32中的至少一種量子點粒子。第一量子點粒子31可以具有比第二量子點粒子32更大的直徑。如第3圖所示,當光轉換層包括第一量子點粒子31和第二量子點粒子32時,從光轉換層射出的光可以是紅色、綠色及藍色混合的白色光。
所述量子點粒子可以包括選自由II-VI族、III-V族、IV-VI族、IV族半導體及這些混合物組成的群組的半導體。而且,所述量子點粒子可以具有磁芯/外殼結構或合金結構。具有所述磁芯/外殼結構或合金結構的量子點粒子可以是,例如,CdSe/ZnS、CdSe/ZnSe/ZnS、CdSe/CdSx

以光轉換層100重量份為基準,所述光轉換層能夠包括0.1至10重量份、0.1至5重量份或0.2至2重量份的量子點粒子。
所述光散射劑33較佳為球形形狀,且可以是中空粒子。所述光散射劑的平均粒徑可以是0.01μm以上或0.01至10μm。所述光散射劑可以使用與高分子樹脂相比折射率相差較大的材料,例如,可以包括選自由BaSO4
、ZnO、TiO2
、ZrO2
、二氧化矽、矽、密胺、聚苯乙烯及聚甲基丙烯酸丁酯組成的群組的一種以上的材料。
以光轉換層100重量份為基準,所述光轉換層能夠包括0.1至10重量份或0.2至5重量份的光散射劑。
若所述光散射劑的平均粒徑和含量在所述範圍內,則能夠防止散射效果不足引起的量子點粒子所導致的光轉換效率低下,並且能夠確保所需的透光率和光轉換性能。
此外,所述第一基材層40和第二基材層50分別附著在光轉換層的兩面,並且既能夠直接附著在光轉換層表面,也能夠利用黏著層等附著在光轉換層表面。第一基材層40和第二基材層50保持量子點膜的形狀,有效地阻擋氧氣和水分從外部向光轉換層30透過,從而起到確保光轉換層的穩定性和可靠性的作用。
第一基材層和第二基材層可分別具有包括基板和在該基板表面上形成的無機膜(無機薄膜)的結構。具體而言,第一基材層和第二基材層在所述基板和無機膜之間或在所述無機膜表面上,可分別進一步包括有機膜(有機高分子薄膜)。此時,第一基材層和第二基材層的各個無機膜或有機膜能夠與光轉換層相接。所述無機膜具有有效阻擋水分和氧氣透過光轉換層的作用。基板和無機膜之間形成的有機膜藉由將基板的表面變平坦來使無機膜均勻形成,從而能夠進一步提高基材層的阻擋水分和氧氣的性能,並且無機膜表面上形成的有機膜能夠提高與光轉換層用塗覆組合物的黏著性。
如果所述基板為光學用透明塑膠基板,則沒有特別限制,都可以適用,尤其較佳為透明度高且耐熱性優異的聚對苯二甲酸乙二酯薄膜。所述基板能夠具有90%以上的透光率和50至350μm的厚度,具體可以具有100至250μm的厚度。
所述無機膜藉由將無機物沉積在基板表面上而形成,這種無機物可以在金屬及非金屬的氧化物、氮化物、氟化物等中選擇。無機物的具體例子可以是選自由鋁氧化物、矽氧化物、矽氮化物、氮氧化矽、鎂氧化物、銦氧化物及鎂氟化物組成的群組的一種以上。無機膜的厚度可以是10nm至1μm。
所述有機膜可以由普通的有機高分子物質組成,有機膜的厚度可以是0.1至10μm,具體為0.3至7μm,更具體為0.5至5μm。
此外,所述第一基材層和第二基材層中與光轉換層未接觸的至少一個表面上,可設有用於防止與相鄰的另一個板或膜片的一面發生阻塞,或者具有光散射效果從而提高量子點粒子的效率的附加塗覆層(防阻塞塗覆層或擴散塗覆層)。
所述附加塗覆層可以包括高分子黏合劑和珠粒子,厚度可以為0.3至30μm。所述高分子黏合劑可以是選自由丙烯酸類、聚氨酯類、矽類、聚酯類樹脂及這些共聚物組成的組中的一種以上。所述珠粒子可以是選自由聚(甲基)丙烯酸甲酯、聚(甲基)丙烯酸丁酯、聚乙烯、聚苯乙烯、聚酯、尼龍、矽及密胺組成的組中的一種以上的材料。所述珠粒子的平均粒徑可以為0.2至20μm。
構成本發明的液晶顯示器的背光單元和液晶面板各結構層可以具有所屬領域通常允許的材料、厚度、形狀等,根據需求可以進行多種變化。
在本發明的背光單元中作為光源所使用的發光二極體(LED)可以是放射波長段為430至460nm的光的發光二極體。
因此,本發明的包括量子點膜和色彩純度增強薄膜的液晶顯示器能夠最大限度地透射從光源射出的純RGB波長,同時遮擋RGB波長以外的不必要的波長,從而提供得以提高的色域及亮度,並且能夠自由自在地移動色彩純度增強薄膜的位置,從而能夠根據顯示器特性而極大化色彩純度增強效果。
[實施例]
下面,藉由下述實施例對本發明進行更詳細的說明。但是,下述實施例僅僅是用於例示本發明,本發明的範圍並非僅限定於此。
製造例.量子點膜的製造
混合作為紫外線固化型丙烯酸酯單體的45重量份的丙烯酸月桂酯(EM215,Eternal公司)和10重量份的二丙二醇二丙烯酸酯(EM222,Eternal公司)、作為紫外線固化型丙烯酸酯低聚物的20重量份的脂肪族聚氨酯丙烯酸酯(PU2510,Miwon Specialty Chemical公司)和15重量份的有機矽聚氨酯丙烯酸酯(SIU1004,Miwon Specialty Chemical公司)、5重量份的具有1.43的折射率和2μm的平均粒徑的光散射劑粒子(E+520,Nanogen公司)以及5重量份的光引發劑(TPO,BASF公司),由此製造光固化型樹脂組合物。在所述樹脂組合物的100重量份中,調配5重量份的由InP/ZnS(磁芯/外殼結構)成分組成並吸收藍色光後放射一部分綠色光和紅色光以顯示白色光的量子點混合物(Trevista,Dow chemical),從而完成光轉換層用塗覆組合物。塗覆組合物的黏度(25°C)為0.5Pa·s。
將所述塗覆組合物塗布在第一基材薄膜(第一基材層)的一面(無機膜面)後,與第二基材薄膜(第二基材層)共同藉由間隙輥層壓機(gap roll laminator)並進行接合,以使光轉換層的厚度為10μm,將接合的薄膜藉由金屬鹵化物紫外線固化機使其固化,從而完成了量子點光學片。此時,所使用的所述第一基材薄膜和第二基材薄膜分別是藉由濺射方法在聚對苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)基板(V7200,SKC公司)一面形成厚度約為100nm的矽氧化物無機膜。
實施例1
混合25重量%的丙烯酸黏合劑樹脂(Soken製GS1000)和75重量%的甲基乙基酮(MEK)製造溶液之後,相對於所述溶液100重量份添加0.05重量份的染料(SK化學公司 SK-d593,主吸收波長段:560至600nm),由此製造塗覆層組合物。
在所述製造例中製造的量子點膜(QD薄膜)的一面,利用麥勒棒(mayer bar)塗布所述塗覆層組合物,並進行乾燥和固化,形成5μm厚度的塗覆層(色彩純度增強薄膜),然後將形成所述塗覆層的QD薄膜應用於背光單元(BLU)內。所述背光單元(BLU)具有雙層增亮膜、水平棱鏡片、垂直棱鏡片、形成所述塗覆層的QD薄膜及反射薄膜依次層疊的結構。
此外,使用具有依次包括上偏光板、第一黏著層、液晶單元、第二黏著層及下偏光板的結構的液晶面板,來製造液晶顯示器(參照第1圖)。
比較例1
除了包括未適用所述塗覆層的QD薄膜外,採用與實施例1相同的方法製造了液晶顯示器。
實驗例
對所述實施例1和比較例1中製造的液晶顯示器,利用輻射計(radiometer,CS-2000;美能達(Minolta))測定光譜的變化及特性,並將其結果表示在表1、第4圖及第5圖中。色域表示色彩再現的面積。

Claims (13)
- 一種液晶顯示器,其包括一背光單元以及一液晶面板的液晶顯示器,其中,該背光單元包括具有量子點粒子的一量子點膜,該背光單元或/及該液晶面板具有一個以上的一塗覆層或一黏著層,一個以上的該塗覆層或該黏著層包括吸收特定波長段的一種以上的吸收染料。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該液晶面板依次包括一上偏光板、一第一黏著層、一液晶單元、一第二黏著層及一下偏光板,該第一黏著層或/及該第二黏著層包括吸收特定波長段的一種以上的吸收染料。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該背光單元依次包括一雙層增亮膜或擴散片、一棱鏡片、一量子點膜、一導光板及一反射板,在該雙層增亮膜或擴散片的一面或兩面、該棱鏡片的一面或兩面、該量子點膜的一面或兩面以及該反射板的一面中的一個以上的位置上具有該塗覆層,該塗覆層包括吸收特定波長段的一種以上的吸收染料。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該吸收染料具有RGB以外的主吸收波長段。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該吸收染料具有380至430nm、480至510nm或560至600nm的主吸收波長段。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該吸收染料選自由羥基苯並三氮唑類、三間苯二酚三嗪發色團類、羥基苯基苯並三唑發色團類、吡咯亞甲基類、羅丹明類、硼二吡咯類、四氮雜卟啉類、方酸箐類及花青類染料組成的群組。
- 如申請專利範圍第6項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該吸收染料是選自由羥基苯並三氮唑類、花青類、吡咯亞甲基類及四氮雜卟啉類染料組成的群組。
- 如申請專利範圍第7項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該吸收染料是羥基苯並三氮唑類、花青類及四氮雜卟啉類染料的組合。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,以該塗覆層或該黏著層總重量為基準,包括0.01至10重量%的該吸收染料。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該量子點膜包括一第一基材層、一第二基材層以及在該第一基材層及該第二基材層之間形成的一光轉換層,該光轉換層包括一量子點粒子、一光散射劑及一高分子樹脂。
- 如申請專利範圍第10項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,以該光轉換層100重量份為基準,該光轉換層包括50至95重量份、0.1至10重量份及0.1至10重量份的該高分子樹脂、該量子點粒子及該光散射劑。
- 如申請專利範圍第10項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該量子點粒子及該光散射劑分别具有2至10nm及0.01至10μm的平均粒徑。
- 如申請專利範圍第10項所述之液晶顯示器,其中,該第一基材層及該第二基材層中的與該光轉換層未接觸的至少一個表面上具有包括一高分子黏合劑和一珠粒子的該塗覆層。
