Description
バックライトユニットおよび液晶パネルを含む液晶表示装置において、
前記バックライトユニットが量子ドット粒子を含む量子ドットシートを含み、
前記バックライトユニット、液晶パネル、またはその両方が、当該構成のうち一以上のコーティング層または粘着層を備え、前記一以上のコーティング層または粘着層が特定の波長帯域を吸収する1種以上の吸収染料を含む液晶表示装置を提供する。
紫外線硬化型アクリレートモノマーとして、ラウリルアクリレート(EM215、Eternal社)45重量部とジプロピレングリコールジアクリレート(EM222、Eternal社)10重量部、紫外線硬化型アクリレートオリゴマーとして、脂肪族ウレタンアクリレート(PU2510、Miwon Specialty Chemical社)20重量部とシリコーンウレタンアクリレート(SIU1004、Miwon Specialty Chemical社)15重量部、屈折率が1.43で、平均粒径が2μmである光散乱剤の粒子5重量部(E+520、ナノジェン社)、および光開始剤5重量部(TPO、BASF社)を混合して光硬化型の樹脂組成物を製造した。前記樹脂組成物100重量部に、InP/ZnS(コア/シェル構造)成分からなり、青色光を吸収して一部を緑色光と赤色光として放出することにより白色光を示す量子ドット混合物5重量部(Trevista、 Dow chemical社)を配合して、光変換層用のコーティング組成物を完成した。コーティング組成物の粘度(25℃)は0.5Pa・sであった。
アクリルバインダー樹脂(Soken社製GS1000)25重量%とメチルエチルケトン(MEK)75重量%とを混合して溶液を製造した後、これにTAP系の染料(エスケイケミカル社SK−d593、主吸収波長帯域:560nm〜600nm)を前記溶液100重量部に対して0.05重量部の量で添加してコーティング層組成物を製造した。
前記コーティング層が適用されないQDフィルムを含むことを除いては、実施例1と同様の方法で液晶表示装置を製造した。
前記実施例1および比較例1で製造した液晶表示装置について、ラジオメーター(CS−2000;ミノルタ(Minolta)社)を用いて、スペクトルの変化および特性を測定し、その結果を表1、図4および図5に示した。色域(color gamut)は色再現面積を示す。

Claims (6)
- バックライトユニットおよび液晶パネルを含む液晶表示装置において、
前記バックライトユニットが、二重輝度向上フィルム(DBEF)または拡散シート、プリズムシート、量子ドット粒子を含む量子ドットシート、導光板、および反射板を順次含み、
前記バックライトユニットか、または、前記バックライトユニットおよび前記液晶パネルの両方が、当該構成のうちに一以上のコーティング層または粘着層を備え、前記一以上のコーティング層または粘着層が特定の波長帯域を吸収する1種以上の吸収染料を含み、
前記二重輝度向上フィルム(DBEF)または拡散シートの一面または両面、前記プリズムシートの一面または両面、前記量子ドットシートの一面または両面、および前記反射板の一面のうち一以上の位置にコーティング層を有し、前記コーティング層が特定の波長帯域を吸収する1種以上の吸収染料を含み、
前記吸収染料が、380〜430nm、480〜510nmまたは560〜600nmの主吸収波長帯域を有し、
前記吸収染料が、ヒドロキシベンゾトリアゾール系、シアニン系、およびテトラアザポルフィリン系の染料の組み合わせであり、
前記吸収染料が、コーティング層または粘着層の総重量を基準に0.01重量%〜10重量%の量で含まれる、液晶表示装置。 - 前記液晶パネルが上偏光板、第1粘着層、液晶セル、第2粘着層および下偏光板を順次含み、
前記第1粘着層、第2粘着層またはその両方が特定の波長帯域を吸収する1種以上の吸収染料を含む、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記量子ドットシートが、第1基材層と、第2基材層と、前記第1基材層および第2基材層の間に形成され、量子ドット粒子、光散乱剤、高分子樹脂を含む光変換層とを含む、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記光変換層が、光変換層100重量部を基準に、前記高分子樹脂を50重量部〜95重量部、前記量子ドット粒子を0.1重量部〜10重量部、および前記光散乱剤を0.1重量部〜10重量部の量で含む、請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記量子ドット粒子および光散乱剤が、それぞれ2nm〜10nmおよび0.01μm〜10μmの平均粒径を有する、請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1基材層および第2基材層が、光変換層と接しない少なくとも一つの表面に高分子バインダーとビード粒子とを含むコーティング層を有する、請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。
