本發明是有關於一種玻璃基板保護墊及玻璃基板封裝容器,特別是有關於一種可大幅降低玻璃基板損壞率之玻璃基板保護墊及玻璃基板封裝容器。

封裝容器是用以作為一裝置以封裝用以作為顯示面板等之複數個玻璃基板。舉例而言,於傳送玻璃基板至顯示面板製造業者之前,玻璃基板製造業者會封裝已製造好的複數個玻璃基板於封裝容器中。於一狀態中,玻璃基板封裝容器承載例如180至240個玻璃基板於其上,其中此狀態為於此些玻璃基板中間各別插入紙張及/或膜。於此,為了保護裝載於封裝容器上之玻璃基板,玻璃基板保護墊會緊密接觸於堆疊之180至240個玻璃基板之前表面。

第1圖係為顯示根據本發明之第一實施例之玻璃基板封裝容器之透視圖。如第1圖所示,第1圖所示之玻璃基板封裝容器100係用以封裝複數個玻璃基板10,其中此些玻璃基板10係用以製造顯示面板,例如液晶顯示器(LCD)、電漿顯示面板(PDP)、有機發光二極體(OLED)或觸控螢幕面板(TSP)。

第2圖所示之玻璃基板保護墊20之背表面係緊密接觸堆疊之玻璃基板。玻璃基板保護墊20係用以保護此堆疊之玻璃基板。玻璃基板保護墊20係配置為複數層。根據第2圖所示之實施例,玻璃基板保護墊20包括前層26、插入物25、內層23、彈性件24、插入物22及背層21。然而,其顯而易見的是,本發明之玻璃基板保護墊20之配置並不局限於此,而係定義於後附之申請專利範圍中。第2圖所示之玻璃基板保護墊20於前後方向、左右方向及上下方向均為對稱的。因此可藉由翻轉玻璃基板保護墊20,而不須區別其前後、左右或上下方向而使用此玻璃基板保護墊20。然而於一些實施例中,玻璃基板保護墊20的配置亦可能沒有對稱結構。而於此實施例中,其於前後、左右或上下方向上將會有所區別。前層26、插入物25、內層23、彈性件24、插入物22及背層21係依序地從前端開始排列。

背層21係為緊密接觸玻璃基板之層狀。背層21含有 發泡聚合物。其較佳的是,背層21係由選自於乙烯乙酸乙烯酯(ethylene vinyl acetate, EVA)、發泡聚丙烯(expanded polypropylene, EPP)及發脹聚乙烯(expanded polyethylene, EPE)之至少一材料製造而成,但並不局限於此。背層21之背表面,亦即緊密接觸玻璃基板之表面,可具有凹凸部分。此凹凸部分可具有多種圖樣。舉例來說,此凹凸部分可具有條紋圖樣或點狀圖樣。

每個插入物22及25相較於前層26、彈性件24、內層23及背層21,具有較大之強度。因此插入物22及25避免玻璃基板保護墊20彎曲。插入物22及25可實施為一輕且高強度之材料,此輕且高強度之材料可為多種材料,僅需其可維持強度,例如鋁薄板、塑料薄板。插入物22及25具有框架結構(骨架結構)。舉例而言,除了第2圖所示之梯形結構外,多種結構亦為有可能的,例如二條垂直桿相交於二條水平桿之結構。因為插入物具有框架結構,因此可減少其重量。其較佳的是,插入物22及25於上下方向及左右方向上係為對稱的。插入物22及25之上端及下端可形成為與玻璃基板保護墊20之上邊緣與下邊緣分隔開(如第4圖所示)。參照第3圖,插入物22及25之上端及下端可形成為與前層26、內層23及背層21之上邊緣與下邊緣分隔開。因此,插入物22及25之高度,亦即上端與下端之間之長度,可小於前層26、內層23及背層21之高度,亦即上端與下端之間之長度。根據第二實施例,其描述使用二個插入物22及25,其中一插入物25係插置於前層26及內層23之間,而另一插入物22係插置於內層23與背層21之間。然而,本發明並不局限於此。

其較佳的是,內層23由乙烯乙酸乙烯酯製造而成。此外,物理性/化學性發泡之多種材料亦可用以作為內層。內層23於角落中具有穿孔23a。

Claims (16)

  1. 【第1項】
    一種玻璃基板保護墊,保護一玻璃基板及緊密接觸該玻璃基板,該玻璃基板保護墊包含複數層,其中緊密接觸該玻璃基板之該複數層中之一背層含有一發泡聚合物。
  2. 【第2項】
    如申請專利範圍第1項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,其中該背層具有位於該背層之一背表面上的一凹凸部分,該背表面係緊密接觸該玻璃基板。
  3. 【第3項】
    如申請專利範圍第2項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,其中該凹凸部分具有一條紋圖樣或一點狀圖樣。
  4. 【第4項】
    如申請專利範圍第1項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,更包含位於該背層之前的一插入物,該插入物之強度係大於該背層之強度。
  5. 【第5項】
    如申請專利範圍第4項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,其中該插入物具有一框架結構。
  6. 【第6項】
    如申請專利範圍第5項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,其中該插入物係縱向及橫向對稱。
  7. 【第7項】
    如申請專利範圍第5項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,其中該插入物之一上端及一下端係個別與該玻璃基板保護墊之一上邊緣及一下邊緣分隔開。
  8. 【第8項】
    如申請專利範圍第1項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,更包含位於該背層之前的一前層,其中該前層含有該發泡聚合物。
  9. 【第9項】
    如申請專利範圍第1項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,更包含:
    一前層,位於該背層之前;以及
  10. 一插入物,位於該背層及該前層之間,該插入物之強度大於該背層之強度,且大於該前層之強度。
  11. 【第10項】
    如申請專利範圍第1項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,更包含:
    一前層,位於該背層之前;
    一內層,位於該背層及該前層之間;以及
  12. 一插入物,位於該背層及該內層之間或位於該前層及該內層之間,或者位於該背層及該內層之間且位於該前層及該內層之間,該插入物之強度大於該背層之強度、大於該內層之強度、以及大於該前層之強度。
  13. 【第11項】
    如申請專利範圍第1項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,更包含:
    一前層,位於該背層之前;
    一內層,位於該背層及該前層之間,該內層於其中之一角落中具有一穿孔;以及
  14. 一彈性件,設置於該內層之該穿孔中,彈性件係由一材料所製成,該材料之彈力係佳於該背層之彈力、佳於該內層之彈力、以及佳於該前層之彈力。
  15. 【第12項】
    如申請專利範圍第1項所述之玻璃基板保護墊,其中該發泡聚合物包含至少一種選自於由乙烯乙酸乙烯酯(ethylene vinyl acetate, EVA)、乙烯聚丙烯(ethylene polypropylene, EPP)及發脹聚乙烯(expanded polyethylene, EPE)所組成之族群。
  16. 【第13項】
    一種玻璃基板封裝容器,用以封裝裝載於其中之複數個玻璃基板,其中如申請專利範圍第1項所述之玻璃基板保護墊係緊密接觸該複數個玻璃基板之一前表面。
