201112484 六、發明說明: 【發明所屬之技術領域】 ' 本發明是有關一種裡離子二次電池用電極,該電極用 ‘ 黏結劑以及具有該電極之鋰離子二次電池。 【先前技術】 鋰離子二次電池由於所貯存之累計電量大,因此近年 來在攜帶機器、電力、汽車等領域中很盛行使用。鋰離子 二次電池中,當比較其初期之累計電量與重複充放電後之 累計電量時,觀察到重複充放電後之累計電量下降,作為 其原因之一者可列舉電極之劣化(參考日本財團法人電力 中央研究所,電力中央研究所報告「鋰離子電池之劣化機 構之解析一劣化機構與其診斷法研究報告:TO1033」,平 成14年4月)。 作為如此之電極用黏結劑者,已知有聚偏二氣乙稀 (polyvinylidene fluoride ; PVDF)(季刊化學總論 No. 49 「新型電池之材料化學」,日本化學會編,137至142頁, 2001年發行)。 【發明内容】 本發明為提供下述者。 [1] 一種電極用黏結劑,其係包含含有源自碳數2至4之 α -烯烴之結構單元、與源自選自由氯乙烯及脂肪酸 乙烯酯所成群組中至少一種之結構單元的共聚物。 [2] 如[1]中所述之電極用黏結劑,其中,碳數2至4之 α -稀煙為乙稀。 s 3 322144 201112484 匕]=[2]中所述之電極购 ⑷二電極,其係含有⑴至[3]中任一項所述 黏結劑。 -種㈣子二次電池’其係具有⑷中所述之電極。 ⑻:種乳化液(emulsi〇n)之用途’係用以製造電極用黏 紇劑,其係在水中分散含有源自碳數2至4之^, 烴之結構單元'與源自選自由氣乙烯及脂肪酸乙烯醋 所成群組中至少一種之結構單元的共聚物者。 【實施方式】 (實施發明之最佳形態) 本發明之電極用黏結劑係包含含有源自碳數2至4之 烴的結構單元(以下,簡寫為結構單元ai)與源自選 自由氣乙烤及脂肪酸乙烯s旨所成群組中至少—種的結構單 兀(以下’簡寫為結構單元A2)之共聚物(以下,簡寫為共 聚物A)。 、’、°構單元A1疋源自碳數2至4之α -烯烴的結構單 疋,作為碳數2至4之α-婦烴者,列舉如:乙烯、丙烯及 1一丁烯,而以乙烯為佳。 共聚物Α可以含有2種以上之結構單元A1。 相對於共聚物A 1〇〇重量份,共聚杨A中結構單元A1 之含量通常是10至40重量份。 結構單元A2是源自選自由氯乙烯及脂肪酸乙烯酯所 成群組中至少一種的結構單元,可以是只源自氯乙烯的結 構單元,也可以是只源自脂肪酸乙烯酯的結構單元,也可 322144 4 201112484 以是源自氯乙烯及脂肪酸乙烯酯的結構單元。而以源自氯 乙烯及脂肪酸乙烯酯的結構單元為佳。結構單元A2可以含 有溽自2種以上之脂肪酸乙烯酯的結構單元。 共聚物A可以含有2種以上之結構單元A2。 相對於共聚物A 100重量份,共聚物a中結構單元a〗 之含量通常是60至90重量份。 結構單元A2含有源自氣乙烯之結構單元與源自脂肪 酸乙烯酯的結構單元時,栢對於源自氯乙烯之結構單元與 源自脂肪酸乙烯酯的結構單元之合計量1〇〇重量份,源自 脂肪酸乙蝉酯的結構單元含量通常是2至重量份,而以 3至60重量份為佳。 作為脂肪酸乙埽酯者,可列舉如:乙酸乙浠酯、丙酸 乙稀1曰、丁酸乙婦酯、月桂酸乙婦酯、己酸乙烯酯、硬脂 酸乙烯醋、棕摘酸乙烯酯、柯赫酸乙烯酯(vinyl versatate) 等碳數2至16之脂肪酸的乙烯酯。而以碳數2至4之脂肪 酸乙烯酯為佳’以乙酸乙烯酯為更佳。 共聚物A除了結構單元A1及結構單元A2之外,可以 含有源自<2, 不飽和羧酸烷酯、丙烯醯胺(Acrylamide)、 甲基丙烯醯胺、苯三羧酸之三烯丙酯、三烯丙基異氰酸酯 等源自烯烴、氯乙烯及脂肪酸乙烯酯以外之可加成聚合 的單體之結構單元。 作為α,/5 ~不飽和缓酸烧g旨者,可列舉:丙稀酸甲酯、 丙稀酸乙醋、丙烯酸丙酯、丙烯酸丁酯、丙烯酸己酯、丙 稀酸辛醋、丙稀酸月桂酯等由碳數1至16之醇類與丙烯酸 5 322144 201112484 所衍生出之丙烯酸烷酯;曱基丙烯酸乙酯、曱基丙烯酸丙 酯、曱基丙烯酸丁酯、曱基丙烯酸己酯、曱基丙烯酸辛酯、 甲基丙烯酸月桂酯等由碳數1至16之醇類與曱基丙烯酸所 衍生出之甲基丙烯酸烷酯;馬來酸二曱酯、馬來酸二乙酯、 馬來酸二丁酯、馬來酸二辛酯、馬來酸二月桂酯等由碳數 1至16之醇類與馬來酸所衍生出之馬來酸二烷酯;富馬酸 二曱醋、富馬酸二乙酯、富馬酸二丁酯、富馬酸二辛酯、 富馬酸二月桂酯等由碳數1至16之醇類與富馬酸所衍生出 之富馬酸二燒酯;以及伊康酸二乙酯(di ethy H tac〇nate)、 伊康酸一丁酯、伊康酸二己酯、伊康酸二辛酯、伊康酸二 月桂醋等由碳數1至16之醇類與伊康酸所衍生出之伊康酸 一"炫》S旨。 相對於共聚物A 1〇〇重量份,共聚物A中源自α_烯 烴、氣乙烯及脂肪酸乙烯酯以外的可加成聚合之單體的結 構單元的含量通常是0至85重量份。 共聚物Α是以含有結構單元A]l、源自氣乙烯的結構單 疋、與源自脂肪酸乙烯酯的結構單元為佳,以含有源自乙 稀的結構單7L、源自氣乙稀的結構單it、與源自乙酸乙烯 酯的結構單元為更佳。 ”聚物A以在分散在水中,例如乳化液(以下記為乳 化液A)之狀態下作為本發明之電㈣黏結誠用為佳。為 了使共聚物A分散在水中,以使用乳化劑為佳。 作為乳化劑者,可列舉如:烧基苯續酸納'烧基績基 琥拍酸鹽等陰離子性界面活性劑;聚乙烯醇、聚氧伸乙基 322144 6 201112484 =基苯基_、聚氧伸乙狀細、聚氧伸乙基脂肪酸酷、 聚氧伸乙基山梨糖醇野脂肪酸g旨、聚氧伸乙基-聚環氧而於 嵌段共聚物等非離子系界面活性劑;以及錄乙基纖維^ 等水溶性高分子。 乳化液A含有乳化劑時,其含量通常是〇 5至5重及 %,而以1至3重量%為佳。 惠 乳化液A,可列舉如,將亞硫酸氫鈉、硫代硫酸鈉、 焦亞硫酸鈉、雕白粉(R〇ngalit)、氯化亞鐵等還原劑、氣 乙烯、乳化劑、水、及因應需要之可加成聚合之單體加入 耐壓反應器内,接著將該反應器中之氣體以氮氣置換,在 5至150氣壓之加壓下,將烯烴、氯乙婦、脂肪酸乙歸 酯、及因應需要之可加成聚合之單體逐次加入該反應器 内,並且將過氧化氫、過硫酸鉀、過硫酸銨等氧化劑之水 溶液逐次麇入該反應器内’並且在10。〇至80°C左右’攪掉 反應器内之浪合物的方法等。 共聚物A中之氯乙烯與α-烯烴的比率,可以藉由控 制各自之使用量與分壓而調整。 本發明之電極用黏結劑’雖可以只是共聚物A,但也 可以含有增綢劑、或乳化液A中含有之乳化劑,而以含有 增稠劑者為# ° 作為增裯劑者,可列舉如:羧基甲基纖維素、曱基纖 維素、經基甲基纖維素、乙基纖維素、聚乙婦醇、氧化殺 粉、鱗酸化蹀粉及赂蛋白(casein)。 作為本發明之電極用黏結劑者’雖也可以使用預先使 322144 201112484 二=、增稠劑混合而得之混合物,但在作成電極之 '丁、 在活性物質中分別混合乳化液A與增稠劑。 ^發明之電極含有前述電㈣黏結劑,例如,可以作 雷t電池、麼電元件用感測器、電二重層電容器、鐘離子 料—人電池、_子二次電池、及燃料電池 本發明之電極用黏結劑適合負極用黏結劑。 明之i:’以鋰離子二次電池之負極當作例子,說明本發 活性=之ΐ造方法,通常’在集電器之上形成含有負極 性物質别述電極用黏結劑等之混合物。具體上,可列 /將、’工由犯σ負極活性物質、前述電極用黏結劑等與 2得之装體(SlUrry) ’在集電器以到刀(d〇Ct〇r bl法) 乂、'塗布或浸潰後乾燥之方法;在將混合負極活性物質、 =電極㈣結料與錢將所得之混合物混練、成形、 人燥而得到之薄片,在集電器表面透過導電性接著劑等接 :後’進行加壓及熱處理乾燥之方法;以及將含有負極活 物質、别述電極用黏結劑等之混合物在集電器上成形 後’將所得到之薄片狀的成形物朝單軸或多軸方向進行延 伸處理之方法。 右 將電極作成薄片狀時’其厚度通常是5至i剛仰2 負極活性物質是可㈣附及放出轉子之具有導電 *者具體上,可列舉如:Si〇2等石夕氧化物,及難石墨化 碳、焦碳、天然石墨、人造石黑等碳材料。 8 322144 201112484 作為集電器之材料者,可列舉··錄、銘、欽、銅、金、 銀、#、銘合金、不鐵鋼等金屬;藉由對碳材料或活性碳 纖維將鎳、鋁、鋅、銅、錫、鉛、或此等之合金進行電漿 溶射或電弧熔射而形成者;以及使導電劑分散在橡膠或苯 乙烯-乙烯-丁烯-苯乙烯共聚物(SEBS)等樹脂中而得之導 電性薄膜。 篩網狀、 集電器之形狀,可列舉如:箔狀、平板狀 網狀、板條(lath)狀、衝孔狀、壓紋狀及組合此等者(例如, 篩網狀平板等)。 也可以在集電器表面藉由蝕刻處理而形成凸凹狀。 相對於負極活性物質100重量份,電極中前述電極用 黏結劑之調配量通常是〇.丨至3Q重量份左右,而以〇. 6 至15重篁份左右為佳。在此,「電極用黏結劑之重量份」 疋指自電極用黏結劑中除去水後餘留的成分(固形分)之重 量份,可以根據JIS K-6828進行測定。 電極可以因應需要而含有導電劑。作為導電劑者,可 以列舉:石墨、碳黑、乙炔黑、科琴碳黑(KetjenMack)、 /舌性碳等導電性故’天然石墨、熱膨脹石墨、鱗狀石墨、 膨脹石墨等石墨系導電劑;氣相成長碳纖維等碳纖維;鋁、 鎳、銅、銀、金、鉑等金屬微粒子或金屬纖維;氧化釕、 氧化鈦等導電性金屬氧化物;以及聚笨胺、聚吡咯、聚噻 吩(polythiophene)、聚乙快、多並苯(p〇丨yacene)等導電 性高分子。 從使用少量即可以有效提高導電性之觀點而言 ’以碳 322144 9 201112484 黑、乙炔黑及科琴碳黑為佳。 相對於負極活性物皙lnn击θ ~ _ 買1◦〇重1份,電極中導電劑之調 配量例如可列舉,0至5f)县 重置伤左右,例如,以0至30 重量份左右為佳。 以下’說明具有本發明之電極的雜子二次電池。鐘 離子二次電池是指含有正極、隔片、電解液及負極,在正 極及負極之兩輯倾之氧化及還原,㈣存、放出電能 之電池。 作為輯子二次電池者,列舉:負極為本發明之電 極,正極為包含經金屬或含有鐘之金屬氧化物的正極之鐘 離子二次電池。 通常’正極是將含有可以摻雜及脫摻雜鐘離子之材 料、導電材料及結合劑之合劑載持在集電器上者。 作為可以掺雜及脫摻雜鐘離子之材料的具體例子,可 列舉如.含有V、Mn、Fe、c〇、Ni等過渡金屬中至少^種 而▲複σ氧化物及^。其卜從平均放電電位高之觀點 。將複合氧化物或鎳與錄以外之過渡金屬或含 有鋁之鋰的複合氧化物等—型結構當作母體之層 ,鐘複合氧化物、將麵尖晶石等尖晶石(响⑴型結構 ^乍母體讀複合氧⑽。_,在本朗書之碳材料評 估用之轉子二次電池的正極是使用㈣(鐘金屬)。 作為正極所含之結合劑者,可列舉氟化合物之聚合 物。作為氟化合物者,可列舉:㈣酸氟化π至⑽烧醋;
