Abstract
(a) agirlik bakimindan %95 oranindan az olmak üzere en az agirlik bakimindan %80 oraninda akrilonitril birimini kapsayan akrilonitril polimerden olusan, (b) monofilaman kuru gücü 2,5 ila 4,0 cN/dteks olan, (c) monofilaman kuru uzunlugu %35 ila 50 olan ve (d) monofilaman bir gerilim testinde kirildiginda filaman eksen yönü boyunca gerilim kirilma yan yüzeyinde 20 m veya daha uzun bir kirik olusturan akrilik lif açiklanmaktadir. Lifin hem yüzeyinde hem içinde esit yönelimi vardir; kuru güç, kuru uzunluk ve boyanabilirlik açisindan önemli ölçüde iyilestirilmistir ve el için yün benzeri his uyandirir. Bu yüzden örnegin bir süveter gibi giysi malzemesi ve kadife gibi ev döseme malzemesine yönelik çesitli uygulamalarda sentetik lif olarak kullanilmaya çok uygundur.
