Abstract

The force absorber for blocking load carrying devices used in structural work is remote operated and dependent on the load. On the load supporting arm is an elbow lever with one end operated to block the suspension mandrel, and its other end fitting into a guiding groove on the base plate, connected by tension springs to the arm. The joint of the elbow lever is connected by a rod to an eccentric piece on the top of the arm. On the base plate is an unblocking arm supported at the rear end of the groove to hold the elbow lever in the loaded condition. The elbow lever is stopped in the extended position at the same time by a horizontally sliding latch operated by an electromagnet. The arm slides on guide bolts connected to the base plate.
