Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for tilbakestilling av en prosessor, og en vakthund for å generere en lilbakestillingspuls til en prosessor som kan initialisere seg selv, og som sender ekjennelsespulser med forutbestemte intervaller til vakthunden som omfatter en transmisjonsanordning (5) for å generere og overføre tilbakestillingspulser til prosessoren. Vakthunden omfatter en telleranordning (7) for å telle antallet tilbakestillingspulser som genereres under initialisering, og for å sette en forutbestemt grenseverdi for tilbakestillingspulser. Vakthunden omfatter videre en måleanordning (4) for å måle intervallet mellom erkjennelsespulser som sendes av prosessoren, l tillegg omfatter vakthunden en transmisjonsanordning (5) for å overføre en tilbakestillingspuls når intervallet mellom erkjennelsespulser skiller seg fra et forutbestemt intervall.
