Abstract
Dannelse av forurensninger i drene- ringsmateriale fra vraksten eller av- gangsmaterialer reduseres eller forhind- res ved at vrakstenen eller avgangsmate- rialene bringes i kontakt med en orga- nisk eller uorganisk svovelforbindelse i kombinasjon med et nøytraliseringsmid- del, et fikseringsmiddel eller et nøy- traliseringsmiddel og et fikseringsmid- del. Når en organisk eller uorganisk svovelforbindelse anvendes sammen med nøytraliseringsmidlet eller fikserings- midlet, blir mengden av nøytraliserings- middel og/eller mengden av fikserings- middel som fordres for redusering eller forhindring av dannelse av forurensnin- ger i dreneringsmateriale fra vraksten eller avgangsmaterialer, redusert i ve- sentlig grad. Mengden av svovel-forbin- delse som påføres på vrakstenen eller avgangsmaterialene, kan være ca. 1-5 vekt%, og mengden nøytraliseringsmiddel og/eller fikseringsmiddel som påføres på vrakstenen eller avgangsmaterialene, kan være fra ca. l til ca. 15 vekt%, basert på vekten av vrakstenen eller avgangs- materialene. De organiske eller uorga- niske svovelforbindelser er slike som har en sulfhydrylgruppe eller en ioni- sert sulfhydrylgruppe, eller en svovel- forbindelse som kan frembringe en sulf- hydrylgruppe eller en ionisert sulf- hydrylgruppe .
