Abstract
En tørkesylinderduk for en papir- maskin der minst en andel av kompo- nentgarnene er monofilamenter bestående av en kopolymer av dimetylolsyklohek- san, tereftalsyre og isoftalsyre, og en effektiv mengde av hydrolyse- stabilisator. Molforholdet mellom tereftal- og isoftalsyre brukt for dan- nelsen av kopolymeren er ca. 83 : 17, og kopolymeren har en grenseviskositet som er større enn ca. 0,75 dl/g. Ko- polymeren tildeler monofilamentene en øket motstand mot hydrolytisk nedbryt- ning og forbedrede knuteegenskaper sam- menlignet med andre kjente polymerer brukt i tørkesylinderduker. Lavtett- hetspolyetylen kan valgfritt tilsettes til kopolymeren for å øke monofilamen- tenes motstand mot overflateforurens- ning og tilsmussing.
