DNA-konstruksj on som koder for et proteinkompleks med human faktor-VIII:C aktivitet, hvor komplekset omfatter et første polypeptid homologt med A-området til human faktor VIII:c knyttet til et andre polypeptid homologt med C-området til human faktor VIII:C med en polypeptid-avstandsholder for- skjellig fra den fulle lengde av B-området til human faktor VIII:C. Proteinkomplekset fremstilles ved at eukaryote celler som inneholder dette DNA dyrkes under egnete betingelser.
