Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for fjerning av hydrogensulfid og/eller Icarbondioksyd fra en sur gaas-strøn i en kontalctsone ved at man der kontalcter nevnte sure gass-strøm med et HjS- og/eller CO2- selektivt absorpsjonemiddel i en vandig allcalisk oppløsning som inneholder et polyvalent metallchelat ved en pH fra 7 til 10. og hvor nevnte polyvalente metallchelat i «n utførelsesfora av oppfinnelsen foreligger i en redusert eller lavere valenstllstand 1 en Icontalctsone og blir oksydert til den olcsyderte eller høyere valenstllstand i en oksydasjonssona. slik at man omdanner tilstedevcrende hydrosulfid og/eller sulfidsalter til svovel i nevnte kontaJctsone.
