Abstract

Frittfallende livbåt (1) for bruk på plattformer til havs, hvorved livbåten er festet frigjørbart i et slipparrangement og er utformet med et lukket langstrakt skrog forsynt med et langstrakt glideorgan (5a, 5b) festet til hver side av skroget langs skrogets lengderetning. Glideorganet (5a,. 5b) rager fra et fremre punkt (4a, 4b) nær baugen til et bakre punkt (3a, 3b) akterut for livbåtens tyngdepunkt (9). Slipparrangementet er forsynt med langstrakt bakre styreorgan (7a,7b) og et bueformet fremre styreorgan (6a,. 6b) arrangert i en hellende posisjon fra plattformen og på skrå ned mot havoverflata i en retning vekk fra plattformen. Livbåtens fremre opplagringspunkt (4a, 4b) er utformet for å gli inne i styreorganet (6a, 6b) slik at livbåten kan falle langs hele lengden av slipparrangementets fremre styreorgan (6a, 6b) samtidig som at akterenden glir langs bakre styreorgan (7a, 7b).
