Abstract
Det beskrives en fremgangsmåte for å produsere en syntesegass inneholdende intet hydrokarbon og redusert konsentrasjon av karbondioksid i den produserte syntesegass. Prosessen i samsvar med foreliggende oppfinnelse omfatter omdanning av gassen generert ved partiell forbrenning av hydrokarbon ved anvendelse av en katalysator i et brennkammer for å generere syntesegass montert på et katalysatorsjikt på innsiden av brennkammeret, og produksjon av syntesegass omfattende hydrogen og karbonmonoksid som hovedkomponenter, og kjennetegnet ved at temperaturen ved utgangen av katalysatorsjiktet er i området fra 1100 til 1300° og konsentrasjonen av karbondioksid i den produserte syntesegass er ikke mer enn 10 vol %.
