Abstract

Trekomposittplater blir produsert fra en trefiber behandlet med en langsomtherdende, lavalkalinitets fenolformaldehyd (PF) harpiks. Den harpiksbehandlede trefiberen blir konsolidert og herdet i en presse som benytter dampinjeksjon. Den langsomtherdende egenskapen til harpiksen forhindrer for tidlig herding av denne. Pressen som benytter dampinjeksjon fremskynder herding, slik at platene kan bli produsert i pressykler som kan sammenlignes med herding av trefiber behandlet med andre harpikser i en presse uten dampinjeksjon.
