Abstract

La presente invencion se relaciona a metodos y composiciones para incrementar el rendimiento de la semilla de una planta. Los metodos comprenden la expresion de una citocinin oxidasa en la aleurona y/o embrion de una semilla. La invencion tambien se relaciona a vectores que comprenden un acido nucleico que codifica una citocinin oxidasa que se une operablemente a un promotor capaz de activar la expresion en la aleurona y/o embrion de una semilla y en celulas huesped, celulas transgenicas y plantas que comprenden tales secuencias. Tambien se proporciona el uso de estas secuencias para incrementar el rendimiento.
