Abstract

Composiciones y métodos para modular el desarrollo de órganos florales, la formación de hojas, el fototropismo, la dominancia apical, el desarrollo de frutos, el inicio de raíces y para incrementar el rendimiento en una planta. Los métodos comprenden ¡ntroducir en una planta o parte de planta un polinucleótido heterólogo que comprende una secuencia ZmALF. Se puede incrementar o disminuir el nivel del polipéptido ZmALF. Dicho método se puede usar para incrementar el rendimiento en plantas; en una forma de realización, el método se usa para incrementar el rendimiento de granos en cereales.
