Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un metodo para aumentar el rendimiento de plantas relativo a plantas de tipo silvestre correspondientes. Mas especificamente, la presente invencion se refiere a un metodo para aumentar el rendimiento de plantas que comprende introducir en una planta un acido nucleico codificando un polipeptido de ciclina D3 (CYCD3) bajo el control de un promotor capaz de expresar de preferencia el acido nucleico en el endoesperma de semillas. La presente invencion tambien se refiere a plantas que comprenden un acido nucleico aislado codificando un polipeptido de CYCD3 bajo el control de un promotor capaz de expresar preferencialmente el nucleico en el endoesperma de semillas, la cuales plantas tienen rendimiento aumentado relativo a plantas de tipo silvestre correspondientes. La invencion tambien provee construcciones utiles en los metodos de la invencion.
