Abstract
Para llevar al maximo la produccion de propileno cuando esta limitado el suministro externo de etileno, el corte C4 de un proceso de pirolisis catalitica a presion de hidrocarburos primero se somete a autometatesis antes de cualquier remocion de isobutileno y sin ninguna adicion de etileno. Esto favorece en las reacciones que producen propileno y pentenos. El etileno y propileno producido despues se retiran dejando una corriente en de los componentes c4 y mas pesados. Los componentes C5 y pesados despues derretiran dejando una mezcla de 1-buteno, 2-buteno, isobutileno e iso-butano y butano normal. El isobutileno a continuacion se retira de preferencia por un des-isobutilenizador de hidroisomerizacion de destilacion catalitica. La corriente de C4 libre de isobutileno despues se mezcla con el producto etileno retirado del producto de autometatesis junto con cualquier etileno externo fresco requerido y es sometido a metatesis convencional produciendo propileno adicional.
