Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un metodo para proteger contra el copiado a los discos opticos, tales como CD-ROMs. En lugar de codificar los datos sobre los CD-ROMs de una manera que asegure el contenido de dc equilibrado, para la proteccion contra el copiado, los datos digitales son codificados y registrados sobre el disco optico de tal modo que los mismos sean arreglados para dar algo del contenido de dc desequilibrado de los datos digitales registrados. Asi, por ejemplo, el valor de DSV de los datos codificados puede ser cambiado rapidamente en menos de (100) unidades de informacion con respecto a la (figura 9). Para un area de datos digitales sobre el disco optico en la cual el DSV se ha provocado que se eleve gradualmente (figura 10A), se produciran distorsiones severas en el audio (figura 10C) durante un intento de copiar una pista de audio que incluye el segmento unico de contenido de dc desequilibrado.
