Abstract
La presente invencion describe un metodo para aislar y purificar en forma efectiva un compuesto de feromona dauer fisiologicamente activo que tiene la siguiente formula estructural I relacionada a envejecimiento y tension de C. elegans, y determinacion de la estructura de este material. Primero, se prepara extracto de etanol al concentrar en forma completa un medio liquido con metanol despues de cultivar C. elegans en un medio liquido basal S, y luego esta fraccion de etanol ademas se extrae con etilacetato. Despues se retiran impurezas del extracto de etil acetato por una columna de adsorcion de gel de silice y un extracto de feromona se aisla y purifica por procedimientos cromatograficos en columna de amina, utilizando diversos solventes como eluyente. Finalmente, un compuesto de feromona que tiene la formula estructural I se aisla y caracteriza completamente por HPLC con exclusion de tamano.
