Abstract

Se describe un sistema para almacenar temporalmente y reintroducir subsecuentemente partes (14) a una linea de ensamble industrial (12), que tiene un primer (22) y un segundo (24) transportadores colaterales, cada uno teniendo un primer extremo (26, 28). Un manipulador de robot (34) esta colocado adyacente tanto a la linea de ensamble (12) como a los primeros extremos (26, 28) de los trasportadores (22, 24) y el manipulador (34) esta configurado para acoplar selectivamente y liberar las partes (14). El sistema incluye una pluralidad de contenedores (40), en donde cada contenedor (40) esta adaptado para recibir una pluralidad de partes (14) dentro del contenedor (40). Un primer carril de alineacion (42) esta colocado adyacente a una esquina del primer transportador (22), mientras que un segundo carril de alineacion (46) esta colocado en una esquina del segundo transportador (24). Un accionador (46, 48) esta asociado con cada carril de alienacion, de manera que despues de la activacion del accionador (46, 48) a su posicion extendida, el accionador (46, 48) acopla un contenedor (40) en el primer extremo (26, 28) de su transportador asociado (22, 24) y mueve el contenedor (40) contra el carril de alineacion (42, 44) colocando asi el contenedor (40) en una posicion predeterminada con relacion al transportador (22, 24). Un controlador (50) selectivamente controla el accionamiento y direccion de movimiento de ambos transportadores (22, 24), el accionamiento del manipulador de robot (34) asi como la activacion de loa accionadores (46, 48).
