Abstract

Se proporcionan un aparato y un método para modular y transmitir señales de video en color, calidad television, de movimiento completo, junto con señales de datos digitales sobre un par de cables telefonicos del tipo conductor doble retorcido y sin proteccion (UTP), sin interferir con los datos telefonicos normales que llevan los cables. La invencion se caracteriza por un método de transmision que involucra la modulacion de frecuencia (VCO1) de una señal de video de banda base y el filtrado subsecuente (BPF1) para suprimir una banda lateral superior que corresponde a un componente de color de la señal original. La señal filtrada es recibida desde los cables telefonicos en una ubicacion diferente, es filtrada, demodulada y proporciona a un dispositivo de exhibicion visual. Es posible una modulacion duplex completa sobre el mismo par de cables, de manera que las dos señales de video pueden transmitirse simultáneamente, cada una de las señales tiene una anchura de banda adecuada de 6 MHz y se desplaza a una ubicacion de frecuencia no interferente, deseada, dentro de los aproximadamente 20 MHz de la anchura de banda utilizable en los cables telefonicos. No se requiere de pre-acentuacion o des-acentuacion para lograr una buena calidad de video transmision.
