Abstract

Mejoras en un procedimiento para producir una masa refractaria silícea cristalina proyectando: partículas refractarias solidas, partículas solidas de silicio y gas oxígeno contra una superficie de manera que la reaccion entre las partículas de silicio y el gas oxígeno tenga lugar sobre la superficie, desprendiendo el calor de reaccion sobre la superficie de manera de formar una masa refractaria coherente que contiene cristobalita, en el cual las partículas refractarias solidas comprenden sílice en forma de sílice vítrea y en el cual la temperatura de la superficie contra la cual se proyecta dichas partículas se encuentra a una temperatura de al menos 1000 degree C.
