Abstract
Un procedimiento para la produccion por fermentacion de la lipestatina, el cual procedimiento comprende: a) cultivo aerobico de un microorganismo del orden de los actinomicetos, el cual produce lipestatina, en un medio de cultivo acuoso substancialmente exento de grasas y aceites, y que contiene fuentes adecuadas de carbon y nitrogeno y sales inorgánicas, hasta que la fase de crecimiento inicial termina substancialmente y con ello se ha producido la suficiente masa de células. b) adicion al caldo, de ácido linoleico, de preferencia junto conácido caprílico [en donde parte o la totalidad del ácido linoleico y/o del ácido caprílico pueden substituirse por el(los) correspondiente(s) éster(es) y/o sal (es)], y N-formil-L-leucina o de preferencia L-leucina, estabilizándose el ácido linoleico o su(s) éster(es) o sal(es) mediante un antioxidante. La lipestatina puede separarse del caldo o hidrogenarse o tetrahidrolipestatina.
