Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a secuencias genomicas y de ADNc que codifican para proteínas de resistencia a virus de plantas. Se ejemplifican especificamente secuencias que codifican para la proteína N derivado de Nicotiana glutinosa resistencia a virus del mosaico del tabaco. Las plantas de tabaco sensibles al TMV manipuladas por ingeniería genética para contener y expresar una secuencia codificadora de proteína N proveniente de una línea resistente al TMV, adquieren el fenotipo de resistencia al TMV.
