Abstract
La presente invencion describe un sistema de deteccion y control para eliminar el error de registro durante la impresion a dos caras en un sistema de impresion xerográfica de pasadas multiples. El sistema registra un borde físico comun de una hoja utilizando multiples pares de sensores. Durante la primera pasada o la pasada simplex, un primer conjunto de sensores detecta el borde de ataque de una hoja de papel y durante la segunda pasada o pasada duplex, un segundo conjunto de sensores detecta el borde de fuga de una hoja de papel. El sistema de control regula la velocidad a la cual una hoja debe ser conducida para quedar en registro sincronico con una imagen revelada en un fotorreceptor en una estacion de transferencia. Las variaciones del tamaño de hoja debidas a las tolerancias del corte de hoja, son eliminadas por el sistema de deteccion y control, puesto que cualquier desviacion es dirigida hacia un borde físico comun, cuando las imágenes de las caras frontal y posterior reveladas en un fotorreceptor son registradas con una hoja de papel.
