Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a una coquilla (1) para el colado en cuerda de metales, que presenta un espacio hueco abierto entre dos extremos frontales opuestos, cuya seccion transversal es mayor en el extremo frontal de colado (4) que en el extremo frontal de la salida de extrusion (5). Para lograr una mayor capacidad de vaciado y para lograr una mejor calidad de extrusion por medio de una reparticion de temperatura uniforme sobre la seccion transversal de extrusion, el espacio hueco se ha configurado conicamente y la superficie del extremo de enfriamiento, separada en el espacio hueco de la coquilla (1) presenta por lo menos un campo (2) con un coeficiente de transferencia de calor elevado. La superficie del extremo de enfriamiento, presenta preferentemente en el campo del nivel de baño (2) de la coquilla (1) una estructura de superficie parcialmente rugosa, que se reduce en la direccion de vaciado. (Figura 2).
