Abstract
Procedimiento para calentar o enfriar una suspensión de pasta para la industrial del papel, con una consistencia del 5 - 20%, en cuyo procedimiento la suspensión de fibras se dirige a través de un aparato dotado de superficies de intercambio térmico a fin de calentar o enfriar la suspensión de fibras, de manera que el cambio de temperatura se encuentre los 5 y 20º C, caracterizado porque: a) Una parte de la suspensión de fibras se dirige hacia las citadas superficies de intercambio térmico del aparato a manera de flujo uniforme, prácticamente como flujo tipo pistón, por lo que el caudal de la suspensión de fibra es de menos de 5 m/s, preferentemente de menos de 1 m/s, encontrándose dispuesta dicha superficie de intercambio térmico en la superficie interior del tubo de flujo que forma el único canal de flujo por el que fluye la suspensión de fibras, teniendo el citado tubo un diámetro de más de 0,2 m, preferentemente de más de 0,5 m, y más preferentemente de más de 1 m, pero de menos de 3 m, y preferentemente de menos de 1,5 m; b) El flujo de la suspensión de fibras se estrangula en un punto de estrangulamiento que cierra más del 30%, preferentemente más del 50%, y más preferentemente más del 70% del canal de flujo y, después de estrangulamiento, dicha suspensión de fibras se introduce en una superficie de intercambio térmico como en el paso (a) anterior, de manera que se introduzca sobre dicha superficie de intercambio térmico otra parte de la suspensión de fibras distinta a la del citado paso (a); c) Se repite el paso (b) al menos una vez, de manera que la longitud de la superficie de intercambio térmico entre los puntos de estrangulamiento sea de más 0,1 m, por lo general entre 0,1 - 2 m, y preferentemente entre 0,1 - 0,7 m; y d) Se permite un flujo libre para volver prácticamente al flujo tipo pistón, descargándose después del aparato.
