Abstract
El método y aparato para transporte y procesamiento de ensayos de protocolo multiples dentro de un instrumento analizador de inmunoensayo automatizado. El aparato incluye un anillo de probeta acoplado moviblemente con un anillo magnético. En una modalidad, el anillo magnético y el anillo de probeta se proporcionan teniendo configuraciones circulares. Se coloca un alojamiento controlado en temperatura alrededor de los anillos de probeta y magnético para proporcionar una cámara rotatoria de incubacion y separacion de partículas. El anillo de probeta retiene una pluralidad de probetas cada una de las cuales puede tener un ensayo diferente colocado en la misma. El anillo de probeta hace avanzar las probetas alrededor de la circunferencia de la cámara de incubacion. Se colocan en posiciones predeterminadas alrededor de la cámara de incubacion, una pluralidad de centros de procesamiento discretos para aspiracion y distribucion de muestras de fluido, reactivos y fluidos de lavar. El anillo de probeta mueve las probetas tanto en direcciones dextrogira como levogira alrededor de la cámara de incubacion para colocar las probetas específicas en centros específicos de la pluralidad de centro de procesamiento discretos a fin de acomodar de esta manera protocolos diferentes de cada uno de los ensayos. Controlando la manera en la cual se mueve el anillo de probeta dentro de la cámara de incubacion, pueden procesarse simultáneamente en el instrumento analizador una pluralidad de ensayos de protocolo diferentes cada uno de los cuales requiere tiempos de incubacion diferentes.
