Abstract

Un método para tratar leche sin procesar para producir leche tratada teniendo un contenido bacterial más bajo que la leche sin procesar. La leche es homogeneizada y dentro de alrededor de 5 minutos de la homogeneización, se somete a una microfiltración dinámica, para dar un filtrado el cual tiene un contenido bacterial más bajo que la leche sin procesar inicial. Cuando la tasa de flujo de la leche a través del microfiltro cae debajo de un nivel predeterminado, el microfiltro dinámico es removido del servicio del filtrado de leche , se drena con agua, y se regresa al servicio de filtrado de leche, los pasos siendo repetidos según sea necesario hasta que la membrana ya no puede ser rejuvenecida a una capacidad de filtrado mínima, en cuyo momento la membrana es sometida a una limpieza química para restaurar esencialmente la capacidad de filtrado original de la membrana.
