Abstract
Se proporciona una técnica para iniciar la formación de poros en un material polimérico que contiene una composición termoplástica. La composición termoplástica contiene aditivos de microinclusión y de nanoinclusión dispersados dentro de una fase continua que incluye un polímero de matriz. Para iniciar la formación de poros, el material polimérico se estira mecánicamente (p. ej., por flexión, estiramiento, torcimiento, etc.) para dar energía a la interfaz de la fase continua y los aditivos de inclusión, lo que permite que los aditivos de inclusión se separen de la interfaz para crear la red porosa. El material se estira, además, en un estado sólido en el sentido que se mantiene a una temperatura por debajo de la temperatura de fusión del polímero de matriz.
