Abstract
La invención se refiere a los compuestos que están caracterizados por poseer al menos cuatro ciclos (A-C y anillo de fenileno). Tales compuestos modulan el receptor del péptido 1 similar al glucagón (GLP-1) y tienen un uso terapéutico que incluye trastornos tales como diabetes, obesidad y apetito excesivo. Los compuestos actúan como moduladores o potenciadores del receptor de GLP-1, o actúan con los ligandos del receptor incluyendo los péptidos de GLP-1, GLP-1(7-36) y GLP-1(9-36), o con las terapias basadas en péptidos, tales como exenátido y el liraglútido.
