Abstract
Un primer método de diagnóstico implementado en computadora que puede ejecutarse en respuesta a un acontecimiento inminente de interrupción de combustible de desaceleración (DFCO, por sus siglas en inglés). Un segundo método de diagnóstico implementado en computadora puede ejecutarse al apagar el motor. Ambos métodos de diagnóstico implican controlar los inyectores de combustible y una bomba de combustible para hacer que la presión en el distribuidor de combustible cambie de un mínimo deseado a un máximo deseado. Las mediciones del sensor de presión en el distribuidor de combustible en estos parámetros pueden entonces usarse para detectar una falla del sensor en el distribuidor de combustible. Uno o ambos métodos de diagnóstico pueden implementarse.
