Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a composiciones, artículos, aparatos, métodos y sistemas para el crecimiento de algas inmovilizadas sobre un soporte en un ambiente gaseoso que suministra acceso a fuentes de dióxido de carbono y luz, y para cosecha y procesamiento subsiguientes de la biomasa. Un método para crecimiento y cosecha de biomas de algas, que comprende: a) aplicar células de microalgas a al menos una hoja de sustrato suspendida; b) dejar crecer dichas microalgas aplicadas sobre dicha hoja de sustrato en un ambiente gaseosa húmedo y cerrado que incluye dióxido de carbono; c) irrigar el sustrato para humedecer dichos sustrato y microalgas; d) aplicar nutriente al sustrato para alimentar dichas microalgas; e) aplicar luz a dichas microalgas para favorecer el crecimiento de las mismas; y f) cosechar dichas microalgas utilizando al menos un rodillo aplicado a dicha hoja sustrato para desprender por presión al menos una porción de aquéllas.
