Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una cepa variante de hongo filamentoso derivada de una cepa parental, caracterizada porque comprende una alteración genética que provoca que las células de la cepea variante produzcan una cantidad reducida de proteína funcional Sfb3 en comparación con las células de la cepa parental, en donde la alteración genética es una modificación del gen sfb3, en donde las células de la cepa variante producen, durante la fermentación aeróbica en cultivo sumergido, un caldo celular que: (i) requiere una cantidad alterada de agitación para mantener un contenido de oxígeno disuelto preseleccionado en comparación con las células de la cepa parental, y/o (ii) mantiene un contenido de oxígeno disuelto alterado en una cantidad preseleccionada de agitación, en comparación con las células de la cepa parental.
