Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una célula huésped útil para producir un oligosacárido fucosilado, que contiene una secuencia que consiste de un polinucleótido que codifica un polipéptido que presenta actividad de alfa-1, 2-fucosiltransferasa y que comprende una secuencia que se selecciona del grupo que consiste en (a) SEQ ID NO 1 del listado de secuencia adjunto, (b) una secuencia de ácido nucleico que es complementaria de SEQ ID NO 1 o (c) secuencia de ácido nucleico que pueden hibridar bajo condiciones estrictas con las secuencias de ácidos nucleicos que se definen en a) y en b) o con sus cadenas complementarias, donde la secuencia es una secuencia exógena con relación a la célula huésped y se encuentra de ácido nucleico está unida operativamente a secuencias de control que pueden ser reconocidas por una célula huésped que está transformada con el vector.
