Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para producir cisteína, caracterizado porque comprende; a) cultivar un microorganismo recombinante en el cual la actividad de fosfoserina fosfatasa endógena (SerB) está reducida, para producir O-fosfoserina (OPS), en donde el microorganismo recombinante es Escherichia sp., Erwinia sp., Serratia sp., Providencia sp., Corynebacterium sp., o Brevibacterium sp; y 2) hacer reaccionar la POS de la etapa 1) conun sulfuro en presencia de O-fosfoserina sulfhidrilasa (OPSS) o un microorganismo que expresa OPSS, para producir cisteína. El método caracterizado porque la fosfoserina fosfatasa tienen una secuencia de aminoácidos de SEQ ID NO: 1 o 2. Un microorganismo recombinante, caracterizado porque la actividad de SerB endógeno está reducida, y la actividad de SerA o SerC está además aumentada, en donde el microorganismo recombinante es Escherichia sp., Erwinia sp., Serratia sp., Providencia sp., Corynebacterium sp., o Brevibacterium sp.
