Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a método mejorado para producir un compacto densificado a partir de polvos metálicos, mediante una técnica de consolidación en caliente, el método comprende: fracturar las partículas huecas mediante trabajo en frío del polvo metálico suelto e introducir simultáneamente tensión dentro de cada partícula del polvo de metal suelto, para inpartir un esfuerzo residual a fin de aumentar el nivel de energía potencial de las partículas a más de la energía potencial que puedan haber adquirido las partículas durante la producción de las mismas, la tensión siendo introducida a una temperatura inferior a la temperatura de recristalización del metal sin compactar el polvo, reduciendo de esta manera la temperatura de recristalización del mismo, mediante lo cual, durante la aplicación de calor a más de la temperatura de recristalización reducida, durante la consolidación en caliente subsecuente, cada una de las partículas se recristalizará para producir un compacto de polvo de metal, que tiene un tamaño de grano promedio mas fino y menos partículas huecas crearon huecos que en un compacto de polvo metálico producido a partir de un polvo de la misma composición, no tratado de esta manera.
